ASUS VS248H-P 24" Full HD 1920x1080 2ms HDMI DVI VGA Back-lit LED Monitor

Very nice monitor, sharp resolution and accurate colors for the price.

Great monitor at an afforadble price. Has reasonable gaming capabilities and can be setup in minutes. Has built in monitior speakers. I just wish the base had swivel capabilities.

I bought this monitor about 2 months ago and I have to say that I'am quite pleased with it. The colors on it look great after calibration. The monitor has a fast response time and low input lag. The design is aesthetically pleasing, though it has a somewhat cheap feeling to it. The monitor has 1 VGA, 1 DVI, a headphone jack (Headphone jack only works with HDMI) and an HDMI input. Out of the box it includes all the cables necessary for connecting your equipment except an HDMI cable. I mainly use the monitor with my Xbox 360 via HDMI and it looks great. I originally thought that 24" was going to be too big, but it fits perfectly on my desk with just barely enough room to spare with the shelf above the monitor. The monitor also comes with a 3 year warranty from Asus so I have peace of mind about my purchase. Very happy with my purchase and I don't think I could have bought a better monitor than this one for the price I paid back in October 2011.

Short and to the point, this is a great monitor. Awesome picture, design, and price. You really won't find anything better in this price range.What pushed me to give it 4 stars instead of 5 was because of two reasons.Reason 1. The "A" on the front Asus logo is not on tightly. Writing this review, I am on my third monitor from Amazon. After the first week of owning the original monitor, the "A" disappeared. With the second monitor, the "A" was gone within the first 3 hours. I was wiping the monitor down after I unpacked everything and once I finished, I look down and see the same "A" is gone again. I"m now on my third monitor and I have made sure to not touch the logo and it's going well so far.Reason 2. Who in their right mind would think putting a sticker on a monitor would be a good idea? This bugged me with the first two monitors, but the third monitor is what pushed me to right this review. I tried to take this "Splendid" sticker off of the bezel, but instead of it being easy and quick, I'm left with a nice outline of goo where the sticker was. I am all for advertising cool new features for products, but why would Asus decide to put a sticker directly on the product itself rather than putting it on the plastic strips they put on the sides of the monitor to keep in clean during shipping? What genius said yes to that? "Yeah how about we put a sticker right on the glossy bezel of the monitor so the only way to take it off would be to pick at it with your fingernail so it can leave scratches behind? And maybe we can make it so it has a chance to leave residue behind so the owner will have to wipe it off resulting it more scratches" ?Again, this is a great monitor that gives you a pretty amazing picture without having to empty your wallet. It is just those two reasons that push me to not give it 5 stars. I have about a month to see if anything goes wrong with this third monitor, so we will see if the logo stays on this time.

I really needed a monitor for my setup, and this was one of the cheapest monitors I could find from a brand that I trust that has HDMI with a suitable size. When I first got the monitor, it was very easy to set up. Simply plug it in, and woolah! What gave me trouble was calibrating the colour. The colour was extremely whitewashed, and it took me a day to calibrate it to how I wanted it to be. After getting it set up though, I can firmly say this was a great purchase, and I thoroughly enjoy this monitor. I am a college student, and this is great for getting my work done, as well as watching YouTube videos shamelessly in my bed at 2:00 AM.PROS: Easy to set up, and has great colour, contrast ratio, and gives a sharp and clear image. I ADORE the matte screen, it is soft on my eyes and really does not stress me as much as a glossy screen does. Easy to see with the lights on.CONS: Controls on the monitor are a bit hard to use. The buttons are small, and the menu is somewhat confusing. There are different colour modes you can also select, but they just make calibrating it more difficult. Also there are no speakers, which may be a con to come people but I have a little bluetooth speaker on the side so this was not a biggie for me.OVERALL: Great for any room, work space, etc. This is a homey monitor, and as a college student it is simply perfect. Not to big, not too small. I was originally thinking of getting a 27 incher, but that would have been too big; this is perfect.
