I GENIETTI Double Blade Vegetable Peeler I GENIETT I, Silver

Just recently my husband remodeled our kitchen and we wanted to get some new things to go along with our beautiful kitchen. When I saw this double peeler, I knew we had to get it and try it out. I had never seen a double peeler before. It arrived quickly (in the usual two day Amazon Prime time.) When I opened the box, I saw what looked like tongs. But there is a peeler on each inside of the tong part. My husband was the first to try this out. We had “real” carrots in our refrigerator and he pulled them out. He fit the tongs around each side of the carrot and swiped downward. This amazing peeler skinned two sides of the carrot in about 2 seconds. He turned it, made two more swipes down and the carrot was peeled! He cut off the ends and my granddaughter got a carrot to eat! My daughter walked in on this and she had to try it also. Again, the carrot was peeled in 3 swipes and another carrot was ready for my grandson. This peeler does a good job on peeling “long” vegetables such as carrots or cucumbers. Potatoes were a little trickier, but the peeler did work on them. This gadget is great and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a novel peeler that cuts your peeling time in half. It is dishwasher safe – another must for me because I dislike hand washing things. I received this item discounted in exchange for my testing, inspecting and reviewing it. I have and have had all kinds of vegetable peelers in my life. I have to say though that this is one of the most unique I have ever held in my hand.This peeler has been specifically designed for work on long and slender vegetables. This includes carrots (the primary veggie we use it for), asparagus and thinner cucumbers. It can also be used for those long and slender white radishes we grow in our garden each year. The unique pliers type grip lets you apply the exact pressure you need. I will tell you that this particular kitchen gadget does require just a wee bit of practice but once you develop your own technique, it works like a charm.It should be noted that the double blades on this thing are very, very sharp so do take care. It is built for both left and right handed people. When open (and it has a spring mechanism in it that keeps it open, it will handle vegetables up to two inches in width (diameter). It comes with a heavy plastic square shield that is to be slipped over the blades when the peeler is shut which helps a lot when it comes to storage.*I did receive this item at a discount in return for an honest review, but that has not persuaded me into reviewing the product higher than I normally would.*

What a cute little time saver this is! Great for carrots or zucchini! Two sides peeled at ONE time.. what is not to love???!!!I am leaving this honest & unbiased review in exchange for having received this product at a discount, and to be frank, had I purchased this item at full price I would have left the exact same review.
