Excellent part. A few things to be careful of on installation
Excellent color, size and shape match for original black part. I think it's OEM since "Bosch" is molded into the bottom of the part, even though there is no VW logo or replacement part number on it. Big improvement in looks over the 17 year old original. Easy to install once you pull out all the broken tabs from the old part. Two caveats: first, the small insert that completes the door handle grab and locks the bezel into the door frame is slightly out of shape; it's better to use the original.Second, make sure when you remove the old bezel that you check whether the hard plastic arch that locks the bezel in place has not broken off the door panel. This is a big reason that the bezel tears out of the door panel, and if that arch is gone the bezel will wobble and eventually tear out again. That arch is what keeps the bezel in place - the little plastic tabs on the bezel aren't enough to do it by themselves. To fix, separate the two parts of the original bezel. If there's a hard plastic piece between them, take it out and superglue it back into its place in the door panel before installing the bezel. There's very little stress on the arch - it just stabilizes the handle, reinforced by the plastic tabs - so once it's glued in place it should work fine. Having just done this I can't say for sure that the repair will be permanent, but I'll report back after a few months and update the review.Overall, an excellent replacement product.

Great part
The part fit perfectly and it is a very good match for color. The only difference from the OEM part was a slight difference in elevation between the inner and outer edge. Be sure and view the Youtube videos on removal and installation. The old part retaining fingers will be destroyed on removal so be sure and pull them out with pliers. Another feature I like is the texture appears to be molded into the product and not a spray on finish that wears off and looks terrible on the original part. I also replaced the switch since the original had gone 16 years for me and was starting to act up. Added $1000 bucks to the appearance..

Quality replacement, with a clean finish
Does not feel cheap, color/ finish is perfect and fits OEM perfectly.

Overall good product for the price
Just installed so it’s fresh in my mind. I didn’t realize this part has the “soft touch” coating on the surface when I purchased it, but it feels and looks well-done. Didn’t scratch during install. I used a plastic trim tool to remove the original door handle (don’t forget to make sure there aren’t broken plastic tabs stuck inside the metal spring clips in the handle mounting locations… pull them out with needle nose pliers if there are). I re-used my original switch; press tab and pull connector off and then remove three Phillips head screws. When I screwed the switch onto the new trim piece I noticed it had a little resistance just before seating so I took a small file and removed some material on a few areas which helped a little with the switch pivoting being more smooth and less rubbing, if any. Final install is revers process but make sure to try to push the whole trim piece down level with the arm rest as opposed to snapping one end in at a time or else you may not be able to line up the opposing tabs. Finally, put the small back trim piece in by installing from above the handle (not from below).Time will tell how it holds up but for the price I feel it was worth the swap. The switch fit wasn’t 100 percent perfect, hence the 4 stars so if you don’t want to mess with possibly sanding or removing a little material for a better fit I would recommend buying a trim piece that comes with the switches.

They got it right!!
Quick and correct. Fit's 2006 VW Golf GL 2.0l. Had ordered from two other vendors before finally getting the correct item from these guys. Thanks!!

Not it for me
Sadly didn’t fit my golf. Yes- I pulled all the broken tabs out from the old part. The molding on the new one was poorer quality and there were multiple protrusions as well as plastic covering areas were there we’re supposed to be holes.

Doesn't quite fit, the dimensions are slightly off OEM
This is the correct part for my 2004 Golf TDI however the molding dimensions are slightly off. When the switches are used with this they get stuck and have to be forcefully released. In my application I could only get the rear clips to seat in the door frame. This part would get stuck and not seat and attach to the front section because the mold is slightly different than OEM part. I had to order the OEM and use that instead.

It works as it should
Not the OEM part but worked just fine. Its plastic so don't expect the world. Fits on my 2002 Golf.
