Doubt this is genuine ADDIS
This item took longer than estimated time to arrive, and when it finally did it was very poorly packaged. For an item which was in transit for such a long time (if the despatch date was as stated) it had very little protection. There was just a small box on the head of the mop, but nothing at all to protect the moving handle/squeegee lever. It has no marking at all to suggest it really is made by Addis, and on only its 2nd use today, the main long handle is on the point of snapping right in the middle. It was extremely poor in use as well, not squeezing much water out and leaving floor so wet I had to mop it with a towel.Absolute rubbish, don’t waste your money.

Not very sturdy at all
Really pleased initially with the mop. Did exactly what it said and worked a treat. Now two weeks and three uses later, a tear has appeared in the handle piece that you squeeze the mop with, rendering it virtually useless. It is likely to break if I put too much pressure on it - but surely, that is what the squeeze mechanism is for? Feeling very disappointed, especially as I also purchased two replacement mop heads which again, will be useless unless I replace the mop. Would like to ask for a replacement, but cannot find a way to contact the seller.

Silly design and likely to break
People comment on how easy it is to squeeze - or hard to squeeze. That is not the real problem area. When the mop is in use the squeezing lever is held in place by two oversized plastic protrusions. They grip it too securely. When I started to release the lever for the first time I felt the odds were that it would snap.It didn't and now I have spotted the problem I will always hold the lever as near to the hinge as possible. Holding at the end and giving it a hefty pull is almost bound to produce a broken handle - as happened with the previous Addis mop that is on its way to the dustbin. I will warn anyone likely to use this mop in my home. Lots of other reviewers report broken levers. The trouble is that all the alternatives are bigger and considerably more expensive. How stupid of Addis to persist with this design when it would be so easy and cheap to make it more resilient.

Good mop until it failed.
A good mop until the spong came off. Seems that after a few months of use, with it getting wet then drying, the sponge rips around where the glue holding it to fasteners and the sponge detaches. It's still possible to mop with it by putting the sponge on the floor and pushing it around with the mop handle. Was a very good mop until it failed. Got money's worth out of it before it failed.

Fair Enough Sponge Mop, Could be better though for the price it's value
Well to start i was a bit skeptic from previous reviews however i thought throw my quids in and give it a try, now it did leave a tiny bit extra surface water than it should and i could say it doesn't fully wring the sponge out when you pull the handle, plus if you give it too much force you could possibly snap it.But in that being said its cheap, and for a communal hallway that has tiles it's very useful, having tiles with deep grouting i was thinking from previous reviews that the sponge would ripp apart in a matter of uses however it hasn't, it was quite useful and it absorbs the dirt up into the sponge too, i went over the communal hallway outside our flat a couple of times and well it done the job but didn't leave the place sparkling but that's just because it will require a ton more cleans before it gets to that level as the building cleaners haven't been bothering cleaning in a long time. so for a few quid you can do it yourself and after all its outside your home so you can't ignore it when you have to walkthrough the hallway daily
