Grendel's in Turtle Heaven
In my garden I found a snapping turtle hatchling that had a seriously damaged hind leg. When I found him, he didn't look like he was long for this world. Still, I ordered this Total Turtle Tank because it was inexpensive, and, while waiting for it to arrive, I kept the turtle in a small plastic tote with a bit of dirt, some rocks, a saucer "pond", and greens that I changed daily. He buried himself in the dirt, I never saw him moving about, and each morning I had to pull him out of the dirt and rinse him off, just to make sure that he hadn't died on me.Then this modest, unassuming little turtle habitat arrived in the mail, and it has made all the difference in the world. It took me just moments to set it up (about five minutes), then I placed Grendel the Turtle into it. From really the first moment, he acted like a new-made turtle. He moved about, checking the rock bed, the hillock of dirt, and (best of all) the pond. When he slipped into the water, I decided that perhaps he might yet hang out a while on this side of the veil. This habitat kit is markedly simple in design, easily set up for use, makes no pretensions to grandiosity, but does a remarkably fine job of giving turtles a clean, lively place to go about their turtle affairs. I recommend it to people in need of a turtle habitat, especially those people who (like me) haven't much experience in such matters.

This tank works wonderful just missing a few things
This tank is a great starter tank! My sons turtle lived in his travel tank for like 4 months while I researched tanks and things to know about having a pet turtle. When the tank arrived I was thrilled that it came with a water filter and a warming light and a cute little tree. It was very easy to assemble and itâs size made it easy to find a safe place for it so my three year old wouldnât torment the poor thing lol. I will say though I will say though it doesnât come with enough filters or maybe my turtle is extremely gross because the 4 it came with have already run there course. Itâs been a pain trying to find filters for it and I remember seeing something on the box saying I could contact them for more filters but like a complete nincompoop I threw the box away and misplaced the information. Also it would have been great if the tank came with some sort or organic water treatment as most treatments come specifically for 20 gallon tanks and this tank is definitely not 20 gallons. Also some cleaning supplies for the filter thingy. Other than that until you get the 30 gallon tank that most turtles need this is definitely a wonderful option.

Great for a starter turtle kit, but...
The habitat itself is fairly simple to set up and easy to clean. The rocks are a tad bit small which did initially worry me as my baby snapper eats in the water, but so far she has a managed it well though. The filter is kind of sensitive. It won't run correctly if the water level isn't high enough which I find has to be almost to the top of the vents on the bottom. Lately my filter has begun to leak though. Water is feeding from the bottom and coming out the sides and top as well. I'm sure that isn't intended, so I will try and see if it's user error and proceed from there. Overall a good deal though.Edit: The filter and the light have both stopped working. The light comes in and out when it wants. The filter motor is no longer pulling in any water which is gonna mean a pretty dirty tank soon. Definitely a little disappointed for the price of everything. I've had it for about two months and definitely was a fan initially. đ

Great product!
I was really amazed at how much my little red ear slider likes his new home. I ended up rescuing this little guy from a customer at our store who didn't want it. They found it, and didn't know what to do with him.I bought the small one just until he grows up, and I get him a bigger enclosure. This is so easy to set up, and the package comes with 2 extra filters. The filter does cycle the water a little strong, and I had to put some large stones around it because my little guy was getting churned up in the filter flow. It took Michelangelo a minute to figure out how to get out using the ramp, but once he got used it, he loved it! I highly recommend this product!

Filter is useless
Pretty Disappointed! After purchasing and putting it together the filter worked for maybe 3 weeks now it can even draw any water to the top of it. It's not filtering at all. I've replaced the filter three times I finally gave up and ordered a different one.Upset because I bought the whole package everything that was needed for my daughter's turtle but, I am already having to replace the filter that's included. Also the light that comes with it can get extremely hot if you leave it in one spot we like to leave it above the water in the corner because it gives off enough heat to heat it.All in all I believe the filter is the main part of the whole thing and it took a crapđ

Light popped. Dirty filter?
The lightbulb popped as soon as I switched it on unfortunately. Would like a replacement. I like that it came with two extra filter replacements although it came with one replacement already inside the filter that was dirty despite being âbrand newâ. Hopefully their customer service is good. I Like the tank otherwise. The water needs to be filled up a little more than Iâm comfortable with for our baby turtles in order for the filter to pull up the water. Keep that in mind when ordering for small turtlesUPDATE: Got a new working lightbulb at no extra charge. Customer service is great! 5 stars

Hard to clean.
It was hard to clean because you would have to figure out how to keep the rocks from getting wet. You couldn't just dump the water out and refill cause the rocks will get everywhere. Anyways it broke, trying to clean it out, a little rock got stuck inside where the flower thing goes into, so when I tried to get it out it broke the plastic, put a hole in it, and in the trash it went. I have a regular tank now. And Raphael is much happier with more space I'd say.
