Cheap Cheap Moving Boxes Medium Moving Boxes (10-Pack) & Roll Of Tape

I just finished an out of state move and had ordered these a little more last minute than I should have. That was no problem though. The day I made the purchase, I called in and they were very courteous and said they would ship it soon (same day). It was shipped that day and I received the boxes 3 days later. I was incredibly happy with the service and delivery speed.The supplies themselves were adequate. The boxes aren't heavy duty and neither is the tape-2 huge rolls of it was more than enough for me. I made sure to triple fortify the tape pieces on the box, down the center seam, 2 rows perpendicular to the seam and also on the ends. I made sure to get the corners because just trying to put the boxes together I noticed some potential for tearing.Nothing was missing from my kit but I used that bubble wrap up and started using leftover plastic shopping bags as buffers. In the beginning I didn't feel like I had much stuff but after I finished with my 1 bdrm apt, I only had 1 box left over and half a roll of tape so...yeah, I underestimated but thank goodness this kit was enough.After the move and finally at their destination 800mi away, the boxes held up. I didn't face any situations like rain that would have caused me to worry even more about the strength though. It was sunny and pretty smooth for the movers. There were no serious tears or damage (even the heavy boxes I put my books in) which put me at ease after stressing and waiting on my things. No complaints here on this kit, it got the job done for me. :)

The boxes came from New York to L.A. in about 4 days (including weekend). The boxes are very sturdy for long term storage, or can be reused. The same quality as sold by U-haul or higher end moving places, but sells at a much more reasonable price. I've moved a dozen times in four years and I can really recommend these. The large boxes are as advertised, very large, great for pillows, blankets, clothing, table lamps, sofa side pillows, etc. The mediums will fit stereo receivers, DVD players, larger kitchen appliances, etc. The small great for small appliances, books, kitchen utensils, wires, DVD's, etc. It came with two large rolls of tape, and it really sticks, and two rolls of bubble wrap which I use around my tv's and dishes. Very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered these boxes for moving from a shared room to another. So the 10 packs were just the right quantity to me. The price was good and I was happy that it was free shipping!! I was hoping to use them to pack my books, but they are not as sturdy as I expected (they are thinner than what I thought). Fortunately, I balanced the weight of the boxes with the contents (books and other lighter stuff) so it worked well. After moving, they were still in good condition! Now I am using them for other storage purpose! Great value for money!

When I bought this kit, I was actually just looking for boxes. I figured I'd get the other bits and pieces - especially, tape and bubble wrap - separately. So, when I saw that you could get them all together, I thought, "Great idea!" And it is.I received the kit in a very timely manner and was impressed with the efficient way in which it's shipped: all of the (flattened, unconstructed boxes are bundled together, wrapped in a strong plastic binding, with the other parts securely attached in a plastic bag. The boxes themselves seem to be of acceptable to good quality. Unfortunately, the "extra" non-box items that round out the kit leave something to be desired.The bubble wrap is like most bubble wrap, so I'm sure it's padded enough, but the quantity is really minimal. The tape is very cheap; I had visions of my dishes dropping right out of the bottom of a box while carrying it down the steps to the moving van. It's not only thin, but it also doesn't stick all that well. Even though I generally use three pieces across the bottom to seal the box, I am still a bit nervous about it. And the black marker? Forget it. It's thin and somewhat dry on the first application. Might as well use a ball point pen. So, I've ended up purchasing separately all of the items that make this a "kit" anyway to supplement or replace them altogether.As for the combination of boxes, that's a tough one to comment on. If you have specific needs for small vs. medium vs. large, you might want to just buy what you need. But this combo is decent and subject to individual taste. I went through all of the "small" boxes pretty fast, but I prefer to use small to keep things from getting too heavy. I went out and bought another bundle of small boxes from U-Haul, and I still have mediums and larges from this set, but I attribute that mainly to being pretty conservative about how heavy I make my boxes.All in all, it's probably better to buy an assortment of boxes and then just leave out the "kit" part of it. And if you do order tape at the same time, make sure it's a brand name you recognize. To get a quantity of bubble wrap I needed, I had to get an amount that was fairly sizable, and it came in a roll, not a flatly-folded sample. That stuff went pretty darn fast.

These boxes are much smaller than led to believe. When comparing them to the boxes at U-Haul these medium boxes were equivalent to the small boxes there. Also, the return shipping is costly (almost $15). I am returning them so I did not try them out, but they do not seem like a sturdy box compared to a box that is actually designed for moving. I would not recommend buying these boxes.

These boxes arrived very quickly and are really, very nice boxes. They are larger than I expected, but that is not because they were not listed properly, just because I didn't realize how big they really are. That is fine as it really makes them a good value since you get a lot of cubic space for the money. I only mention it because it is easy to pack them up to be really heavy since they hold so much, and if you don't fill them up then your stuff will move around in the boxes. This is not a complaint, the boxes are very solid and are going to be excellent for moving, just make sure you get the size you need.

The boxes are ok, but don't bother paying for them. U-haul charges less and will buy back unused boxes. Ours from U-haul were $1.11/ box and were higher quality. Not really worth waiting for and paying more for. Do not purchase these.
