This cutter is great for someone who needs this for everyday use. It is sturdy, works as described and comes with plenty of extra blades. I used this initially when installing a backyard putting green. It performed well on this heavy thickness artificial turf. However, I think for many small home projects you will find a utility knife works just as well. This is something I consider in hindsight to be a specialty tool for someone in the trade who needs this for everyday use that cuts a lot of product regularly. Overall a great product at a fair price.

No instructions but not needed. Cuts through backing like gift wrapping paper. Able to cut across stitching easily too. Pushing the blade MUCH easier on my wrist than pulling a utility knife which is still necessary in small areas. Will cut from the turf side also if needed.Highly recommend if laying a medium to large area.

Screw stripped out in 3 days

I had two 8’x10’ carpets to break down for bulk pickup. Literally took me 15 mins. To cut both carpet into 3’ panels to tie up in twine to meet bulk pickup requirements. Make sure you wear gloves and take your time for your safety…blades are sharp!

This is the best tool I have ever bought. Cut my work time down by hours.

Follow instructions how to use this tool and it works as suppose to for preparing for patching carpet or seaming. Built to last.
