These little metal gears are awesome. I know they may be looked upon as somewhat of a steampunkish accessory, however...I am using these little gems to decorate my three year old son's bedroom. He had requested that when we move into our new house, that I make him a car bedroom. I have searched high and low to find items to decorate my son's room that didn't involve a big red lightening macqueen character on it. I am not a fan of perpetuating consumerism in my children by buying stuff with characters on it. Consumerism is fine for me, but I work hard for the money--but I digress.These are made out of a very sturdy metal and the various shapes, colors, and detail really is wonderful. I could do a bunch of different things with these...all the while telling my son they are gears that go into cars and monster trucks and he'll be ecstatic! Win/win for me.If you are looking for something unique that doesn't look cheap, these shiny delights will fill your need. I'm pumped because you could do so much cool stuff with them! The only suggestion I'd have is to possibly offer a few bigger metal gears that can be framed or made into something decorative.

The variety was great. Be warned the product is heavy! When you make your art product know that this will have some serious weight to it when done. My daughter is having a reception where she would like the guests to dress in steam punk. I'm using the gears for boutonnieres, bridal flower bouquets, and earrings for the ladies. I did a lot, lot of testing before I finalized.However, know the colors are through and through. There's no rough edges. Some gears fit inside of each other. Some of the teeth match up to others. I enjoyed that there were quite an assortment of clock arms also included. Have fun with these gems!

Great assortment of metal tones, and many different sizes! There were even some "clock hands" included, also in varying colors.Some of the gears were larger than I'd anticipated, and I don't know what I'll do with them, but i'm sure to find something! :)The other, smaller gears are all sorts of designs, with interesting differences between them (I love the ones with the wavy spokes the best!), and will be perfect for the top hat I'm decorating for an event!I would absolutely order these again, if the need arose.

I was delighted! Perfect for my steam punk project. Will post a picture when I am finished. A great variety of gears, clock faces and hands. All metal with good variety of bronze, silver and golds. Good quality also.

Better quality than expected. I bought them not sure if what to do with them...then decided to make earrings for several coworkers for our Steampunk party. Examples of a couple earrings I made.

I got a tad over a 100. That was plus #1. They are shiny in quality - not cheapness. Tried to bend as my quality control is tough. They are THICK! Even the clock hands are thick. So very worth the purchase. I'll be checking their name for other products! If you want your work to look elegant, this is the place to go. I'm pleased as punch!! (with a lil sump sump in it of course. ; )

Great variety of shapes and metal finishes, but as other commenters pointed out, they are very shiny and new looking. I "aged" them by soaking in bleach for 24 hours. Rinsed, then soaked in white vinegar another 24 hours. Used to make some awesome steampunk jewelry.

Exactly what I was looking for. Just need to age them a bit and start crafting my adornments. They have a nice weight, full metal, and just the right thickness.

Used for birthday cards.
