It has a nice lid that keeps "bugs" from flying in to my wine! This has always been a huge nuisance with an open top wine glass. You have to either fish the bug out or get a new glass of wine. It sips easily enough. I have dropped it a few times and it is fine - pretty tough.I would recommend it.And getting the inscription for a party was great!!
