Great Coals!
These are the exact coals used by the hookah bar I frequented pre-Rona. They heat through nicely on the stove.

Nice coals, good burn duration.
The coals were pretty good. Takes a bit to get them going so don't try using your light. Torch or coal starter is ideal.I tested a single coal and let it be and got a little over a two and half hours of good heat from it. So a small portable coal grill for camping is definitely on the table for this product. Virtually no smoke and very little odor at all so can even use for various asian bbq grills indoors.Only issue I think others touched on is the packaging is 72 coals packed together as a brick. Shipping damage is a big concern as some of the coals chip or fracture. Which for the price is rather a big downer. Coconut coal is rather cheap on the bulk side so almost $6/lbs is rather playing to the niche market of the hookah crowd more than the coal using crowd as a whole.I got 2 boxes of 72 coals for the order (I counted, its 3x4x6 packed in the box). The burn duration is pretty good and for the number of smokes you'd get it's not bad if a few coals are broken. But if you are using them to cook you'll be using a fair number of them and it gets expensive. So it's an option that can be packed up in a nice symmetrical way, but cooking wise look for the larger extruded coals like you'd get at a kbbq restaurant and get a better price per pound/kilo the only benefit here for that purpose is you can use a more exact amount of coals.

Coolest, largest pack of hookah coals.. ever!
This has got to be one of the coolest and largest pack of hookah coals I have ever seen! They are made from 100% natural coconut shells! How cool is that?! Hookah charcoal is one of the most important ingredients of a hookah session. The coals are the source of heat for smoking shisha. This is a premium quality charcoal that is a coconut briquette. It burns hotter, lasts longer, and with less ash. This is good for use with shisha, hookah and BBQ, because the charcoal briquette does not influence the flavor of the shisha or food. These high quality coconut coals are made of carefully sorted coconut shells. This helps leave a low percentage of ash. Coconut hookah charcoal can also maintain stable heat for over an hour, so it does not require often replacement. These coconut coals do not contain sulfur or other hazardous chemicals, so they do not produce bad odors. Once the coals burn out, they still maintain a cube shape. The ignition time is between 8-10 minutes, with an average burn time of 90-120 minutes. Each cube is measured at 1×1×1 inch. Only 2-3 cubes are needed per hookah session. I highly recommend these high quality hookah coals for your smoking sessions.
