Good material for knife scales.

I am very disappointed with the quality of these pieces. I should have looked at the reviews. These were NOT bookmatched, NOR were they burled. It is iron wood, but definitely isn't burled. The cuts are horrible, they have rough edges, burns across the face from worn out sawblades. There was a tearout on one corner. And if that wasn't bad enough, and what pissed me off the most was the wood putty filling in a large void. Don't waste your time or money. I'm sending this garbage back.

First time using ironwood and first time buying scales from Amazon. First off the burl wood scale as described was definitely not burl at all. Just a semi straight grained piece of ironwood. I was considering returning but kept anyway as I have been producing quite a few knives lately and would use it anyway. Came out really nice looking but would probably not buy again simply because of the misleading description. Others have had the same issue and it should be addressed as false advertising.

Nice looking scales, but be prepared to do some extra work as far as flattening both sides, I just noticed they have a nice bow to them that will require some time sanding, or under a router to even out the bow.

I made a knife with these and I wanted to put wood scaled on the knife. These were very nice looking so I bought them and put them on. They look amazing (the knife doesn't look that great, but the handle looks amazing). When I get better at making knives I will be putting these on them! Zero complaints.

Looks NOTHING like the picture, the wood I received were bland and plain, one was even cracked. Most certainly we're not matched at all. One was dark the other was light. Grain was not there
