Readers were treated to an alternate version of the X-Men from a nightmare parallel universe ruled by the evil Apocalypse. This new paperback edition is a perfect alternative to the beautiful but unwieldy X-Men: The Age of Apocalypse Omnibus. I wanted to re-read this amazing story before the movie comes out. The artwork is the overblown small heads large biceps style of the '90s, but the story itself is compelling. This Age of Apocalypse trade edition is continued in X-Men: Age of Apocalypse Volume 2 and X-Men: Age of Apocalypse Vol. 3: Omega.

90s X-Men Event Glory
Third party seller was quick with processing the sale, and my book arrived safely. As far as the book, I haven't read it yet. From skimming it and from what I know of the comics included, this book has everything you want from a mid-90s Marvel/X-Men comic book. Artists from Andy Kubert to Joe Madureira have their sharp lines and dramatic, exaggerated figures on glorious display. Colors are deeply saturated and presented well on the matte finish of this book's pages. And if I'm not mistaken, the pages appear to be reproduced from high quality scans, so the original colors and textures appear to be well maintained in the printing.

A classic 90s X-Men story that's worth every penny!
Absolutely LOVE this storyline! Growing up in the 80's and 90's, comics during that time were quite interesting and I love it! The artwork is just amazing in this book, the characters are awesome, everything about this is great! You will it obviously need volumes 2 and 3 after getting this one. This is a really thick book, about triple the size of your modern day trade paperback single volume size. If you live 90s comics, the X-Men, or just great Marvel comics, than this is for you!

Blast from the past
One of the best storylines that took. A look at what might have been if one person was gone. I had a lot of the issues when they originally came out but had missed others. It was great reading it in the order it was intended.
