After spending hours narrowing my trailer light problem down to (probably) the GM factory harness (13 yrs old). Put this one in and it worked until I turned the running lights/headlights on then nothing. I spent a more time checking grounds and voltages and what not. I then read some of the reviews on this item and someone else had the same problem. I went to the local auto parts store and bought the Hopkins 41165 model harness (Also sold on Amazon). It worked perfectly. I probably have a full days frustration into this for a 20 minute fix. It might be a small random issue but my advice would be to buy the Hopkins model. It's also way longer than it needs to be. I gave it 2 stars only because although mine was defective it seems to be well made.

It's okay. It was easy to install and works with a little tweaking. I had to use pliers to squeeze the contacts on the 4 way as they were not making contact with the prongs on my trailer plug. I was pretty pissed when I installed it and it didn't work. I traced the wiring on my trailer all the way to the light, checked the bulbs and all the connections. Spent an hour troubleshooting it and in the end came to the conclusion that it had to be the plug. I did a light squeeze on the contacts and BAM, the lights started working. It would be a 5 star review had the product not wasted an hour of my time and not needed modifications to work.

At first I was very satisfied with my purchase. It installed very easily and worked great. However fast forward 5 months (today) and I was experiencing light problems. Everytime I'd push the brake, the turn signals for the rear would turn on solid, I knew this because they would illuminate on the dash solid. It wasn't until I checked my lights on a reflection that i saw they truly were turning on everytime I pushed the brake. I unplugged the Curt harness/T-connector and plugged in the factory harness. The problem was gone completely and everything was back to normal. I'm disappointed that this only lasted 5 months before burning out.

I bought it with good intentions, however, I discovered that there was already wiring harness on my truck. .. .I am tho going to keep this one as a spare in case of deterioration or get damaged. . . . . As the say. . . 'it's the after-thought' that counts. . . . .Update(8-29-20) Man I'm glad I ordered this harness. My tail lights stopped working and I discovered that the factory harness had corroded. . . Put in the new harness and Voila. . . . . .Just like new.. . . .

This thing is great. I got the model that fit an 06 Isuzu. Think it fits a colorado as well. Very easy install. You would have to literally be incompetent to not be able to climb under your truck and install this thing. It plus in. It took me longer to tie wrap everything where I wanted it than anything. Probly in all 20 minutes. The screw for the ground is self tapping, so you don't have to pre-drill a hole. Just put a little pressure and it will bite, screw it right into the frame. Hooked it all up, backed up to my trailer, and voila!

Fairly easy to install. But, the double-stick tape lasted two short trips and then let go. I'll secure the module with zip ties, I suppose.Whenever the module activates (brake lights or turn signals), there's a lot of noise on the AM radio band. Probably not an issue for very many people these days.

I bought this last year and it worked fine then but I hadn't plugged my trailer's harness into since then until a few weeks ago. It turns on the running lights but not the turn signals. The sealed black box must be the issue, which I assume houses a circuit to amplify the current and isolate the trailer so as not to draw too much power from the vehicle's left, right, brake, and running lights circuits.

Very easy to install on my truck (2005 Colorado ,no tow prep)So far has performed well, keep bulb grease on it and should last years.Mine gets wet a lot and has performed flawlessy.
