My husband thinks I’ve lost my mind, but I love the chicken purse! I’ve been debating buying this for two or more years, been feeling down lately, so decided to take the plunge. The opening is small, but it doesn’t bother me, there is a lot of room inside. Buy it! You won’t regret it!

Went over great for my family’s white elephant Christmas gift exchange. Would recommend for a gag gift.

I named her Henrietta, but everyone will know her is “the chicken !!!!!🐔 an inexpensive bag but for the summer that’s what you want something airy, carefree, and fun I looked at straw bags, wicker bags spent time, and then I decided on the chicken love it having fun isn’t that what it’s all about!!“Happy Summer!! “Chicken”!!!!!

I had eyed this purse for over a year before I finally bought it. It's a delightful, humorous purse! Everyone that sees it and comments, loves it! It is sturdy and seems to be well constructed. The biggest drawback is the size of the opening. It's so small it makes finding and pulling items out of the purse very difficult, as you can't see inside if your hand is in it. Additionally, the one interior pocket is located near the top and it hangs open, obscuring the entrance to the purse. When I go to put my wallet back inside, the pocket inevitably catches the wallet or whatever I'm attempting to put into my purse, and won't allow it to go further. So I had to hold the pocket closed with my hand while slipping my wallet or other items into the purse alongside my hand. I fixed that, though, by carefully sewing two snaps inside the pocket and to the lining of the purse, so that it stays closed until I unsnap it. (It was a bit tricky to sew, though -- small opening to work in, the lining is slippery, the thread keeps catching in the zipper, etc. But it was well worth the effort, to me.) My photo shows how the pocket behaved before I sewed the snaps on. My typical contents of the pocket are a small sticky note pad and pen (currently missing the pen), a thumb drive with keychain attached, and a small sewing measuring tape (not visible in the photo.) The pocket hangs that way with or without contents.This is a novelty item and is probably not likely to continue in production for very long, but if it were, I would suggest redesigning it slightly, to have the zipper extend, turn, and go down the edge of the hen's tail (in an "L" shape), so that there is a larger opening. And put the pocket further down inside the purse.

This is the most beautiful purchase I have ever made. I'm not disappointed with the size or quality at all. I will update if anything goes wrong with the quality. I was fortunate to get it on sale but I think the price is good. UPDATE: Bag is still in incredibly condition! Never gotten more compliments than when I wear this bag out..HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Ok you're probably wondering what kind of lunatic buys a chicken purse. Here is my story: I raised my first ever flock of 4 chickens, no one tells you after raising chicks in a playpen in your dining room that you turn into a chicken lady. I saw someone at a craft fair last Christmas that had one. I looked everywhere for this rubber one because it maintains its shape and is super sturdy. Amazon was the only place I could find it. I had it on my wish list since last Christmas. A few weeks ago I bought it for myself and make friends wherever I go. Normal non-chicken people want to get to know that strange girl carrying a chicken bag. The chicken people recognize me as one of their own and immediately come over to talk. If you don't like talking to people, step away from this bag. The rubber is durable, and the interior of the bag is fabric and has a small interior side pocket. The handles are tough and also durable. I absolutely love this bag, and I was not expecting the conversations it would start. But since I like people it's all good.

I named her Harriet. Everywhere we go, I get compliments about what a cool purse she is. She has plenty of room to carry my phone, wallet, and everything else I need.The color has held up without fading. The zipper, handles, and rubber are all good quality.My biggest complaint is that the opening is a little small. My hand is large and it’s a tight fit. My husband’s hand is extra-large and his hand doesn’t fit. But I read the reviews before I bought it and I knew that was an issue that others had. Even so, I still give it 5 stars because I love it so much.I read others comment about the rubber smell, but my Harriet didn’t have any smell.If I could make an improvement, I’d add a cross body strap.
