Just what I needed. But 2 ppl needed to assemble
The media could not be loaded. I got this specifically to hold my XP Pen Artist 15.6 drawing tablet (roughly similar size to a Cintiq tablet, I think)Note:It just BARELY fit into it…I needed something like an Ergotron arm to hold up my drawing tablet but also make it super easy to put away and also pull out for drawing. This device met my needs perfectly (the video shows how I can use one hand to lift it up and move it over to my drawing space and vice versa). For me, this helped keep space more easily available for other things at the table, but also very smooth to pull out the art tablet and start drawing. (Sometimes I rest the bottom rubber feet parts on the table and I feels similar to when I drew on notebooks in my lap)Also, I honestly use the tablet as a bigger monitor now that this device can hold it up so wellThe biggest con/downside is just the set up. I had to get my husband to help me assemble it and also adjust the key joint points so it would be easy for light pressure to move it up and down. And I have not tried it yet, but with my current settings at the joints, the device slowly goes down if I learn on tablet to draw when it is midair. Thus, I usually rest it on the table when drawingAll in all, As long as you have a helper to assist you in setting this up, I totally recommend it! :)But only after you measure what you are putting inside it!Mind you, my XP pen drawing tablet 15.6 barely fit into it. But I also posted this review in case anyone else had a drawing tablet of similar proportionsAnyway, I love this thing! No regrets!

Works great and very sturdy
So my package, like many, was missing the brackets. I tried contacting the seller directly and was left on read- then went through amazon and received fantastic support to get it up and running. I have an XP Pen drawing tablet strapped to mine and it BARELY fits- but fits. Nice and snug. The built in cable management is super nice as well. The clamp is a bit bulky, so be sure your desk can accommodate it- but it is VERY firm. I will say I was VERY CONFUSED by how it goes up and down and if anyone else is having problem- put a device on the tray, lay your hand flat on the thick cased part, and and press down. It will move. It may be stiff at first but it will hold when you stop and it's very easy to get used to. Once you "break it in" a bit, you can adjust it from just holding the tray and tugging down. :)

Pleasantly Surprised
This arm is surprisingly sturdy and well engineered (I only say it that way because most well-priced products like this fail to provide sufficient weight support or durability, or they aren't thought out for various applications). I have mine mounted on the side of my desk, neatly out of the way, yet when I want to pull the laptop over in front of me, it unfolds its arm outright and smoothly guides my laptop to a comfortable spot. When I'm over it, I just push it back against the wall, and it's comfortably tucked out of my way. I'd say realistically, with the way I have it set up, I can get about a foot and a couple inches from where it is 'to the left' where I want it to be for use. However, for more specific needs, it can reach a bit further, especially if the base mount uses the option to drill a hole in the desk instead of clamping it on the side. The device comes with a variety of options for configuration. The laptop tray may be mounted quite flat for the laptop to sit on, or at a more severe angle, such that the laptop's keyboard half is sitting upright at about 45 degrees. Additionally, the base may be manipulated as previously mentioned so that it could be theoretically placed at any point on a desk where the bottom of the desk is accessible for a bolt and nut to go through, or clamped anywhere there is about 2" or more of horizontal space on the desk's edges.A very small complaint, but nothing to deter buying another one, is that the 'locking screw' on the plate which connects to the laptop mounting platform has a bit of variance, as it honestly should, since it can be quite difficult to expect a perfect level pitch of the upper-most joint, which affects how the laptop platform sits, i.e. level or canted left or right. If, for example, the locking screw were to have no play, the arm, fully outstretched in a single direction from base to top, would provide a perfect level platform. However, when it were 'half folded', such that the middle joint of the arms was tucked off to one side to provide a shorter reach, the platform would be canted slightly in a similar direction of the middle arm joint. This is hardly noticeable, and is again likely why there is some give around the stopping screw on that plate, as it then provides the ability to adjust the platform any time it seems off. The complaint here really is just around the fact that it most commonly must be adjusted any time the arm is moved forward or back to maintain a level laptop.Other notes:I was slightly confused at first about a couple of the pieces. For example, the plastic ring inside the base mounting portion of the arm must be loosened via screw before being fitted onto the desk mount base, and it almost looked like a throw-away item for shipping.I would buy this again or suggest it to my friends. It is durable and sturdy, and I trust my devices on it.
