Amazing Gaming Monitor!! Absolutely recommended!
I've been in the Market for a 120Hz (This one is 144Hz) monitor for some time now. But I was a little concerned about the amount of money required to purchase one. After a year of reading reviews and watching videos on various products I saw this monitor being referred to as one of the best you can get. I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of reviews about this very exact model. So I finally decided to spend the cash and purchased it. Let me tell you it is worth every penny!!! If you are on the fence on whether or not to sink the money into a high refresh rate gaming monitor, do it now! You will not regret it at all. I had no idea what I've been missing out on all this time. It really is night and day coming from a traditional 60Hz monitor. This monitor is incredible. The build quality is top notch, and I love the little remote it comes with to cycle through the menu. I find most monitors these days are going to a touch type button layout, and I've never found one that is simple to use or is 100% responsive to my touches. The detachable remote on this monitor makes setting up profiles and adjusting settings a lot easier. The menu system isn't perfect tho, and cycling through some settings takes a little more time than I would like it to. The colors on this type of monitor are good, but if color accuracy is something you absolutely must have you will have to look elsewhere. Viewing angles are okay as well, but it is limited compared to other monitors. I've never understood why that is such an important stat for some. Unless you have an audience watching, you will be sitting directly in front of the screen anyways. Mine also came with no dead or frozen pixels so I was extremely happy about that. The stand is very adjustable and can be positioned to any angle or height most people will need, I also like that is has a hook mount on the back to store away Headphones when not in use. I don't play many FPS these days but decided to break out TF2 again and this monitor has gotten me interested in playing them once again. Other games such as Crysis look amazingly smooth. But you do have to have a gaming rig beefy enough to get those frame rates high enough to take advantage. But honestly if you have the amount of money required to sink into this monitor, you probably have all those bases covered. When I made the jump from all CRT to LCD 10-12 years ago I never did realize what I was missing out on when it come to smoothness and video response/lag. I've read the 24" version is just as good. So if your on a budget I would recommend purchasing that one if size isn't a big deal for you. BenQ has done an awesome job with this one.

Great monitor
This is a great monitor. Very clear and sharp looking, everything works as advertised. I upgraded to this monitor from an old school 75hz fat back. And this is also the first HDTV ive owned. I was blown away by the quality of the images. Not only does windows and games look good on it, TV looks great as well, and the 144hz is super nice, everything is so smooth. And the construction is nice aswell, very thin borders around the screen, strong and sturdy stand with the nice cable hole. Also has many ports to plug into, and the remote is nice. It does have a few cons though. On the back of the monitor is a little red clip that looks like a cable holder. Its actually a switch that allows to adjust the height of the monitor, and it breaks super easy with one twist of the hand. Mine broke right off as soon as i tried to turn it, and now my monitor is not locked into place on the height adjust, but it stays wherever i put it. Also, the touch buttons are a pain in the arse sometimes and you haft to figure out a little trick where you touch the edge of the monitor by the button with ur index finger, then touch the button with your thumb simultaneously, works like a charm. Another con is if the monitor loses signal from its current input, you have 10 seconds to get your hands on the remote or buttons and change the input source, or the monitor will go blank and the power light will turn orange, and the remote will become unresponsive and you will haft to power the monitor off and then on again to regain control. Then theres the worst con of all, 120hz and up only works with DVI, this monitor does not have HDMI 2.0 ports. I couldnt take a star off for any of these cons because they are small things and the good things about this monitor blows them away. There might be newer monitors out now but this one is still a champion.

The best 1080p gaming monitor.
1080p vs 1440p = 1080p is the winner for now.TL;DR = this monitor is super fast response, no blurring. Great once you calibrate it - go to toms hardware and use this as a guide:[...]**Keep in mind you can't use the black equalization AND change to gamma 4 like they recommend. You'll have to disable the black equalization.**"Blur reduction - while this works pretty great, the monitor is so damn fast that it's not worth 42% brightness for. YES, it cuts the brightness in halfbringing it to 58%**Make sure you use the cable that comes with it! You won't get over 60hz if you use an older DVI cable. Not sure? Compare your old DVI cable to the one that comes in the box. If it looks different, then you'll need to swap it out. In my case I have my pc 9 foot to the side in the corner so I had to buy a longer version for about $15.Calibration settings (which you can find on toms hardware, various other sites. This is using a calibration hardware tool)Picture Mode: StandardBrightness: 71Contrast: 43Color Temp User: Red 100, Green 98, Blue 96More detailed review:While manufacturers are constantly upping the resolution, here is what you should REALLY consider before thinking of going to a 1440p monitor, or a 4k monitor vs what I'm reviewing here which is a 1080p monitor.Consider GPU power. What I mean is if you are running a single video card or SLI cards (I have 2x GTX 980TI's in SLI) you need to consider what to expect.-27" 1080p, (1920x1080) is a perfect resolution for 27" gaming. On a single card, even a GTX 770 can nearly max out all settings on most games and get to 50-60fps (except GTA V, you'll need more gpu power for that)-1440p monitor, expect to get around 20-30% less.-4k don't expect anything except around MAYBE 30fps on a single card with everything maxed out.-With my SLI setup for the 980TI GB cards, I pull down around 120fps on everything. I adjust this monitor accordingly. You can set various modes 60hz, 120, 144. If you are using NVIDIA cards, then you just pull up the control panel for nvidia and adjust the hz.Some 'hacks' so to speak is if you can get over 72 fps constant, then you can use VSYNC -2 (2 frame and it will make FPS half of refresh rate which is 72fps) and set monitor to 144hz for really smooth gameplay. Faster than 60fps, but with vsync on and super fast monitor you'll notice very very little lag if at all plus no texture tearing (only if the game supports 1 or 2 frame vsync, otherwise you'd have to hack an ini file or something).Another thing you'll notice is if you do set it to 144hz, when you drag windows around on your desktop it will be SUPER ULTRA SMOOTH and it's almost jarring how smooth it is! I was excited for this even though well, that's not a lot of use but cool to look at I guess :)Older games can really benefit from this (HALF LIFE 2) because you'll get 144fps at 144hz with Vsync on and it's crazy good. So damn fast.Don't hesitate. I spent many hours researching monitors, I bought an AOC and a ASUS (they were fast monitors too, but nothing touched this one). It's worth the price and you don't need a monster video card to push the resolution. If you decide to go 1440p version of this monitor, then expect to have a beefy video card 980TI overclocked, or better yet in SLI. But that's like $1400 in video cards, sooooooo 1080p suddenly becomes a lot more attractive.-nick11/16/2016 - *Edit* I'm back. This monitor is still kicking ass. I've really really enjoyed using it. If your games can run at 144, you are in for a smooth as silk experience. Even if you can't do 144, then do 120 or even 100. They are awesome. I plan on rolling with this monitor for at least another 2 years until 4k GPU performance catches up and I can do 4k at 144 fps :) (hopefully they'll make a 144hz 4k monitor hehe)
