Simple and it works!!
I needed a fan controller for a new computer build, and the tower I purchased has 200mm fans on the top. When my wife uses the computer, she hates having the fans blow the air up (the computer, sadly, sits on the floor). Thus, I needed something that would allow her to turn off the fans.I've never used a fan controller before, and I've seen a lot of cool ones out there with the color screens. I, however, didn't need anything fancy, nor did I want to pay too much for it. When I saw this one, it looked simple enough to install, so I went for it.This one fits into a 5.25 driver bay, which I had enough room for. The instructions were simple enough, although I had to unplug all of my wires that I already installed to the motherboard onto this one to make them all work. The lights turn green when the fan is on, and since my fans aren't necessarily the ones that have a fan speed, they will either be tuned down or turned off completely when I move the knobs. The buttons below the knobs allow you to turn off the fan completely, and will turn the lights red at that point. The last reason why I chose this was because of the metal mesh design it has, which matches my computer tower. In case anyone is wondering, my tower is the Thermaltake Overseer RX-I VN700M1W2N, which I also purchased on Amazon. In summary, if you want something something and something that matches your case that has a metal mesh look, this fan controller is definitely for you. It's not very technical to set up, and it doesn't make your front tower look too busy either. Snag this one up if you don't want to spend too much money on a fancier one that will take up more driver space!

it works
I've been looking for something to fit my needs for a while now, I have many fans and needed something to control them and keep everything cool and quite, this controller can use the PWM when you need it, in my case when I'm not around, and it can run fully manually when you need it,I have Asus sabertooth motherboard and I use the AI suite to control the PWM speed curve, for the fans i need to be controlled by the motherboard (radiator fans) and i have set all the case fans manually to keep the noise level to minimum,It have a small button to switch between manual and pwm for each fan, and a LED to indicate which is selected (red for manual and green for pwm).the controller comes with many cables, kinda overkill but in the other hand it's better than other manf. that don't include cables that you really need, some of the cables can be used as extenders (really helpful if you have a big case),just one thing thou, mounting it in a toolless case is not that easy, I have corsair 500R and I had to remove the leaver thing and put the screws in from both sides since it's too short to utilize the case mounting mechanism

Simple and Sleek
Purchased this product on 1/20/12, received it on 1/25/12 and installed it on that same day. I have to say, the installation was a breeze with the extra cables provided. The unit itself feels sturdy and well made. I love the mesh front because it blends in perfectly with my case. The LED's are a bit bright, but my case is facing away from me so I don't notice it too much. The PWM control is an awesome feature, I am definitely taking advantage of that. If your Mobo has a Sys_fan connector you won't have to worry about connecting the PWM to your processor fan (I used the sys_fan because I just felt weird putting my processors life in this controllers hands). The only con I have about this controller is the length of it in the case. My case has a self-locking mechanism in the 5.25 bays. The controller isn't long enough to slide into the locking feature so it kinda just hangs there on one side while being screwed in on the other, if that makes any sense...this makes it lopsided, although you can barely tell. So just a warning, it's not like your optical drives which are long and snug on your 5.25 drive rails.

Great product, no complaints
There is really nothing bad to say about this fan controller. It's very well built and actually has a circuit board and heat sinks unlike some other cheap controllers. The option of motherboard control or manual control for each fan is also very neat. It looks and fits great in the top bay of my Cooler Master 690 II Advanced. The mesh is also pretty close in appearance, though it might look worst if you put it into some solid color case or something. I'd still recommend to buy this even for the usability if not the looks. Only thing I wish it had would be customizable LED colors since all of my PC accessories glow blue, but this really isn't an issue. I'm only controlling my two 140mm top fans for my custom mounted 280mm radiator. I had problems setting my motherboard to change fan speeds so I knew I had to get a fan controller. The reviews I read were pretty promising and I have to say I stand by them and put in a good word.

Looks great, like the knobs and my other one has been working 3 years without a hitch
I just bought my second one of these so that I could stick it away in the closet for my next computer build. I bought the first one 3 years ago to use with a Corsair 600T case. I confess that I basically bought it for looks (there were others with the same functionality) because:1) The mesh-like front on this matches the mesh front of the 600T almost identically;2) I wanted something subtle without flashing lights and colors, and I liked that there is one red/green LED for each control3) I like turning knobs and pushing buttons (each knob has a small button under it), as opposed to touchscreens and slidersI should note that after 3 years the one I bought 3 years ago continues to work without a hitch.
