Good C.D.
It's a good cd. It gives old songs a new twist. My kids love old McDonald has a zoo. They sing along with most of the cd.

Fun songs
Despite being totally sick of listening to this CD (my son loves it), I think the songs are cute and fun. It's also somewhat educational. My 2 year old has learned new words and tries to sing along with the CD. So, if your child likes Little People and animals this is a good buy for you.

Fun songs
Fun songs. Docked a star for the two songs about buying animals. Come on, why are they promoting the merchandising of animals to babies and little children? I know they're old songs, but change the words or retire them.

Pretty good overall, but then there's the song with the word "damn" in it. Oh, and then another with the words "hoochie coochie"
I bought this CD because it has the kookaburra song on it and my 4 year old loves that song. We had that song on a previous CD, but left it in a rental car :( and she has asked me to buy it for her, non stop, since then. So, I finally found it on this CD and got it for her for Christmas. We've been listening to the CD pretty much every day in the car. Now, there are some songs that are wonderful and we really have a lot of fun with them: Old McDonald had a zoo (she loves it), Rockin' Robin (momma loves that one and we jam!!) :). There are several others that we enjoy. BUT….. big, big, big BUT…. there are two songs that ABSOLUTLEY SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS CD FOR CHILDREN!!!! The first one that became an issue for us is the song about little fish because it says "and they swam and they swam right over the dam." Now, as an adult, I certainly know what that means... but you all can imagine how and where my 4 year old daughter took that... As soon as she heard it she said "awwwww, mommy they said damn! That's a bad word mommy." and for the next few minutes she tested the boundaries with saying "damn" and we had to have a conversation about not saying bad words and we no longer listen to that song at all. She even knows that if it starts to play she's not allowed to listen to it and she will say "mom, this is the one I can't listen to." Then, to make it even worse—we were listening to it last week and song #11, “Turkey in the Straw” was playing and I was completely baffled when I heard the lyrics “hoochie coochie” come from that CHILDRENS SONG. Thank goodness my daughter was distracted and she didn’t hear it, but I seriously could NOT believe that. I even said “unbelievable” out loud and my daughter asked me why was I saying that and I had to make up something about traffic or something… because I didn’t want to bring it to her attention due to how inappropriate it is! Fisher price or whom ever wrote and produced this CD ought to be ASHAMED of those lyrics being in a CD for children! I have to wonder if they even have children themselves…

Cute songs!
Very cute! A little too fast paced in speed of songs after a few of them my son wanted it off and I didn't blame him. I do like the cd though very cute songs. I recommend playing just 4 songs one day and play the next 4 songs the next day. It's a little too much to play them all at one time.

Not all songs are child-appropriate
"Kookaburra sits on a rusty nail." This is what my three-year-old son came home singing after being in his nanny's car. She has limited English and innocently thought she was playing nice children's music. I have since listened to this cd and am less than impressed. There are some songs that are fine, but those songs are readily available from actual musicians. I would not consider this cd educational either. Fisher Price should stick to making toys.
