The 2-level lever makes a huge difference!
What makes this corkscrew stand out from other corkscrews is that this is a 2-level lever. I'm certain that you've struggled on more than one occasion to get a good grip and pull hard enough to "start" the cork coming out. Well this 2-lever system takes the work out of starting the cork. It's really easy to use and there is a little card with instructions included in case there is confusion. There is also a little blade that pops out of the back (swiss army knife style) to cut the foil on your bottle. Very nice handle, a little more tan that shown in the photo. I really like this opener. I actually intended this as a gift and decided I had to buy one for myself, too! *I received a sample of this item at a discount in return for an honest and unbiased review*

This item comes in a lovely box with a velvet pouch for storage. It is packaged so nicely for gift giving.It is easy to open and close all of the attatchments. This wine opener has a brown, wooden-style inlay for decor.It was so easy to use and I was able to pull a wine cork with no strain.It's sturdy, heavy, and well made.I plan to gift this to my sister with a few bottles of wine this christmas.I received a discount on this product for my honest and unbiased opinion.

After spending many years working in college as a waiter at a few higher end restaurants, I came to fall in love with the charm, functionality, and fun of using a full-on corkscrew. Serving and drinking wine was never meant as a utilitarian affair, and is only enhanced when an event is made of opening the wine itself. That is why this opener is ideal.
