Completely useless!
Frankly speaking, this battery cover by design is completely useless! I own both the Nikon D610 and the Nikon D7100 for which this battery door supposedly has been designed. I tried it on both. On the inside of the cover there is a metal plate that should have a notch to accommodate the battery lever on the camera that holds the battery in place. But it doesn’t have that notch. As a result, on both cameras, when closing the battery cover, the metal plate pushes against the lever and releases the battery; the camera immediately loses power! The original Nikon battery cover does have that notch. You can directly see this when comparing the two designs.

Does not quite fit correctly. Useless .
This cover does NOT work correctly with the Nikon D7000. I had the same problem as a previous reviewer. When the battery cover closes the battery release button gets in the way of the cover and therefore the cover does not latch closed securely at all . I want my money back!
