I had purchased a bamboo Belly Bandit a few kids ago. I purchased it on the small side and found that it didn’t fit right after delivery. I really didn’t want to buy a new one in a bigger size. Then I found this! It doesn’t extend the size of the Belly Bandit significantly. It gives you a couple inches. However, if you already have a Belly Bandit and find it *almost* fitting, this handy little addition will save you from having to buy another wrap. It is mostly a felted feel to the whole panel— not the soft bamboo on the bamboo Belly Bandit. And it can be tricky to get it adjusted just right. But I’m pretty happy with it.

I debated whether or not I really needed a support for postpartum, but ended up choosing this one based on recommendations from other new moms, and overall am glad I did. It helped provide support and remind me to maintain good posture during the initial weeks of nursing my newborn, when I had a tendency to hunch over too much. The support greatly reduced the lower back pain I was having, and it did help reduce the bloated/swelling abdominal feeling common right after childbirth. I was not a fan of the velcro fastener, as it was very loud and made it nearly impossible to adjust in the middle of the night without waking baby or my husband. Additionally, it became increasingly uncomfortable when the creases start to settle... everything I read said crease are normal (they settle between ribs and hip bones from how the band folds when you wear it sitting down. Also, it is too bulky to wear under clothing and rather unattractive above clothing, so I left it in the car when I had to go in public. However, the pain relief and help with the recovery process still made this a worthwhile purchase. I followed the sizing chart and it fit as expected, with me initially wearing on the loose side and gradually being able to tighten further on the velcro. I don't remember exactly how long it took for me to wear it on the smallest size... but I think close to 5 weeks postpartum.Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase and think it was worth the price. Though I've heard others say you can use it for multiple children, for me, I don't think I agree due to the creasing. I would purchase a new one after giving birth again.

I just wanted to write a review for us bigger girls. I did not see any as I was reviewing this product. I loved this! I got it 2 weeks postpartum and it worked. I ordered a size large and I was at the max for inches. When I put it on the first time I did have to lay down as it was to small at first. I would have loved to have the problem where it got to big and I would have to buy the next size down but I didn't. I still love the results I got. In the first two days I noticed a difference. Yes, it is uncomfortable but worth it. I slept with it on, If you can handle it do it! Everywhere I went friends and family told me I looked great and didn't even look like I had a baby. Is that not the best thing you want to hear after having a baby!? That was so important because I'm already big so still having the rounded belly is not cool at all. I still wore it for another 2 weeks not all the time but alternating with shapewear and It seriously lifted my saggy after baby skin. So, I didn't have the pregnant look and my saggy skin was lifted believe me It's worth it.

I'm still pregnant so I haven't "worn" this yet but wanted to at least start a review because I think there may be serious sizing issues. I went to the Belly Bandit website and used their size calculator. I entered my measurements for 33 weeks and it said get an XL. I entered the same measurements for 34 weeks and it said large. I did both weeks because there is some discrepancies with my due date. I ended up ordering the large, thinking that it's better to be a little tight than too large, especially given how quickly I'll shrink after the baby is here...well the large came and it's huge! I'm 35 (or 36) weeks and I can actually wear it! So even ordering down when in between sizes is clearly not enough. I imagine this will work for about a week and then I'll need the medium. I'll update once we get there, but heads up, even if you are at the tip top of a size range, you still may benefit from ordering another size down...8/9/16 Update: My suspicions were right - I was only able to wear this for about a week before it was just ridiculously too large. If you are between sizes, or on the lower end of a size, I personally would recommend going down a size, especially if you want it for more than just a few days after birth. On the up side, I did find that those first few days when it DID fit, it helped with that "hollow" feeling you sometimes get while standing after a delivery. I also have diastasis recti and found it helpful in giving me a little support while standing to cook meals, etc. This was not comfortable when sitting - it would just dig into my ribs, sides, hips, etc. Fine while standing, but sitting was awful.

I’ve had 4 kids. I’ve used a different one of these each time and this one was the worst. Uncomfortable and the fibers poked me. I only used it a handful of times. Not worth a penny. Quality appears good but it’s not. Offered no back support (compared to other brands)

I am shocked by all of the low ratings for this product!I began wearing this garment approximately 24 hours after I gave birth (I was too sore to put it on right away). I gained 18-20 lbs during my pregnancy, and lost all of that weight within a week and a half. Now, I will say that a healthy diet and exercise have been a large part of my pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and post-pregnancy plans, but there is no doubt that this item has helped my waist and stomach shrink back down to my pre-pregnancy size very quickly. I love how it gently waist cinches and works with my hormones to shape my torso. I find the garment to be very comfortable and try to wear it 24/7 (other than when I bathe, of course); I even sleep in it, that's how comfortable it is. I love how it holds my core in nice and tight, but not too tight, and provides support for my back, which helps with my posture. I plan on wearing it for 8-12 weeks.
