I’ve used these iron pills for a number of years. I always recommend. These keep my bloodwork in a normal range. However, this last bottle has had an awful taste. It’s like wet dog from dirty fishy lake water. Never have they tasted this way. So not exactly pleasant.One thing to note about iron supplements is that you do not want to take them at the same time as calcium as calcium can inhibit iron absorption. At first the new design on the label threw me off a bit but as I was looking through the description it did inform you they have a new design on the label. I need non constipating iron as I am pregnant and my iron is low. If taste is a factor for you, these aren’t gonna work. Before I was pregnant they were fine, tasted disgusting but did not cause me to be nauseous after I got them down.However now that I am pregnant, the taste is overwhelmingly disgusting and makes me gag when I try to take it. Honestly its like a mouth full of blood. Even if I try to take it with a flavored beverage, the taste of this overpowers the taste of any beverage I have tried.

I'm in awe how much we take our body for granted, how seriously you need to stay up on the vitamins and eat good food...I can't recommend these enough! Make sure they play nice with other meds if you're taking them but oh my God! Slugginess, gone...hunger, back...happiness, 100%!

Like most irons you can smell these tablets as soon as you open the bottle. The smell kinda makes me gag but iron is hard on the stomach in general. This is one of the few ones that i keep down. Which makes me happy. I take it before bed to avoid getting queasy. They are big horse pills so if you struggle with swallowing large pills this may be a thing, however its been the best on my stomach.

This product is great because it is gentle on the stomach. I had stopped taking iron pills for awhile because of the side effects of a sore stomach after ingesting other iron pills. The way I like to take these pills is to put them in my hot cereal in the mourning while I heat it up in the microwave then let it set for about 15 minute. The pill is slightly dissolved for me to swallow the rest with liquid. All in all, I love these pills. My energy has come back.
