Electrician fitted these for me so can’t comment on how easy or difficult the installation is, but I love these lights behind our bookcases where they give plenty of light.

This light has great potential - it has a lovely appearance hiding most of the business end of the light fitting neatly behind it and installed correctly and well, it looks very chic and would work well in a minimalist setting or just in any room decorated in a modern style. I could see this in a bedroom, hallway, living room or study quite easily.This needs to be fitted by someone who knows what they are doing and my husband and brother-in-law got it up and running quickly, but at the moment it has the wire on show as we need to create a space for the wiring and plaster over it to make it look like there is no cable attached. This will improve the look 100 fold.This a wall light which must be wired into a light switch. It does not come on a wire and even if you put truncking in the wall it still doesn't have a switch to control it. I think this could only be installed as part of major remodelling works or in a hotel, or restaurant for example. There is no hole for a wire at the mid-point of the light so actualling running down inside the wall is the only way to fit it.I put mine on a wire and a plug for testing and it would have worked fine but I would have to switch it off at the wall each night, so I decided not to use it. This is due to the suitability of the light for my needs rather than a failing of the light itself. The brightness of the led strip was very sufficient and felt like 60watts in the old system. The warmth level of the light was good with it being warm white.ProblemsI had a problem with the wall bracket which failed to screw to the light after unscrewing it twice. I couldn't get the screws to bite into the screw hole and eventually gave up. The strength of the light itself was fine and I had no other problems with build quality.ConclusionBe aware of the suitability of this light for your own needs, most people would require a qualified electrician to wire it into a switch. The appearance of the light is excellent.

very good, easy to install

This up and down light from Wowatt produces a nice quality of light. Although it can't be dimmed, it is rated at 20W ... which equates to about 80W.I replaced an ugly light in the hall ... it gives off more than enough light and is quite attractive.Easy to install if you have any competence in wiring, if not, get someone who does.Good product

I have placed this light in a newly refurbished garden room - a smallish area, but one well illuminated by the light which is by no means dim, without being glaringly bright. It looks stylish and modern, suiting the small room well.

This is a lovely, understated light fitting that fits well into any decor. It is well made, good quality and surprisingly easy to install. My son installed mine for me, replacing an existing wall light in the bedroom, and it looks brilliant - and provides an excellent light level for reading and for the room generally. I could not be more pleased.

The light being mains operated requires some simple wiring and also drilling into a suitable wall / ceiling for anyone with rudimentary DIY knowledge should be straight forward enough. The light is made of aluminium, suitable for living / dining / bed / bath room, corridor etc, the warm white makes it ideal for bedrooms etc where a harsher light is less preferable. It's 20 W power consumption makes it energy efficient providing the same light as a conventional 80 W bulb. Overall well made, reasonably priced and easy to install.

Very discreet design, I installed it in the large cabinet under the stairs.Nice glowing light not too intrusive.I would recommend if you like minimalist and modern style.5 stars
