I measure it at a bit over 9.25", around 9.3" in diameter.Nice soft silicone, but stiff enough that it provides a good platform for putting larger pots on top of it.This trivet is larger than most other silicone trivets. I wanted this larger size as a good platform on top of a gas burner under my medium size Instant Pot, to prevent the Instant Pot bottom from getting scratched by the gas burner metal. I obviously do not turn on the gas burner while the Instant Pot is on top of it :). I use this silicone trivet on top of the gas burner, then a 12" round Immokaz steel tray, then the Instant Pot on top of that. Makes a great platform for the Instant Pot while I cook in it. This way I can use the space on top of my gas range instead of wasting counter space for the Instant Pot.Of course would also be good for its intended use to put hot dishes on top if it, and it's also useful for drying some items that don't fit in my dish rack or when my dish rack is full.

I was looking for something to cover the two cloudy, scratched front burners on my glass top range. Though that use was not mentioned in the description of this product, these looked perfect. I didn't want "caps" that would sit higher than the burners. These however, are flat and even have the look of burners, they were also just the right size. Very happy with them.

Will use these to protect my new counter-top from the heat generated by our coffee makers. Needed something that wasn't too thick, but would protect the counter. So far, both pots fit the pads very well and my counter remains cool. Very satisfied!

Replacing honeycomb-style silicone potholders (which are maddeningly slow to dry and get food stuck easily).Not the most “luxe” quality for the price—they should be 50%-75% of the price I paid. The edges are not finished smoothly. You can peel off the bits though.They do meet my needs as potholders and to grab hot bowls out of the microwave. They have a good grip and the size is not too small, not too big. The hanging hole is convenient.

The shiny rings get watermarks after cleaning. Get the Smithcraft ones on Amazon that are all matte, and clean better.

The description said BPA free. Could be but the package says nothing. I put them in the dishwasher Friday night after opening them. About an hour later I opened the dishwasher again and was greeting by a horrible smell. I did not smell them when opening the package but after being closed in the dishwasher I could certainly smell them. I left them out to air out and have them now in the dishwasher after two days. I like the bigger size and I did not find too many options. I want them to put underneath dog food bowls. I rectangle mat is too big for my space. Fingers cross they stop stinking!!

Bought these to serve as a fraction pad between my granite mortar and the granite countertop. Worked great for that purpose.
