If the fish where biting id have no complaints
As usual Eskimo insulated shelters don’t disappoint. I have the six man pop up but bought this one for convenience of the built in seat and attached sled for mobility. The extra width in the front is great. Even with a 20lb LP tank and my large heater a five gallon pail vexlar and minnow bucket in front of me I still have room enough for me. And one hole. Plenty of stow to go space in back inside the sled. Side windows are kinda in an odd place in my opinion. Why they are even with my shoulders and not the next space forward is odd to me. I do wish the seat back had a recline option but it is quite nice on the bumm and back compared to a five gallon bucket. Assembly does take a few hours don’t think you can wait an hour before you go fishing to open the box and put it together. Overall it wasn’t too bad though. I did have 4 extra washers because of the directions stating wrong number of washers and, I had a pile of extra screws which I’ll never complain of a company sending extra rather then not enough. I highly suggest to just buy the storage/transportation cover with your order. I will be ordering that soon. It’s not needed but will be a nice addition to keep things in, dry and safe while flying down the road In The back of a pickup truck.Been fishing (ok watching the end of my rod) from 5pm and it’s almost 1:30am and I’m still nice and comfortable. Only complaint is I’ve had 1 bite this whole time and I missed it but it’s not the shacks fault.

No response from company
The package arrived broken up in one corner. We thought all parts where inside in other boxes, however, 1/2 way through putting the sled together we couldn't find the swivel seat plate. After NUMEROUS calls to Eskimo (the NEVER answered the phone) I emailed them. Still no response. That is really frustrating. I have no desire to take it apart again and rebox. I only need this plate.

I gotta try and figure out a way that I can rig something whereby I can enjoy it as a windbreak
As per the other reviews, it was missing parts (4-plastic washers, 2-bolts & nuts) ... even With the extra parts bag that was suppose to cure this ill. Also, Eskimo must've changed the design because you cannot set it up as a windbreak; no clip, which REALLY stinks because on nicer days which might have a little wind I was Certainly planning on using this feature .... it's one of the reasons I chose this model. UGH! I gotta try and figure out a way that I can rig something whereby I can enjoy it as a windbreak. I didn't get to take it out on the ice this year, so I'm hoping that next season it will prove to be a smart purchase.

Best One-person Shack
Love this new "wide" version of the one-man ice fishing portable. The ability to expand the bar provides enough room for my fish locater, portable heater and not have to worry about being cramped. Not a five-star for two reasons. When closed the front bar (and flap) aren't flush with the ice, and even for a 5' 8" guy sitting down I hit the top of the shack when setting the hook on a fish. Would like a bit more space at top. A big plus, easy to load/unload in my SUV and pull across snow or ice.

Best single person portable I've had yet.
I'm on my second ice fishing season with this model. It's my fourth (and hopefully last) one man portable. Setup wasn't too difficult. It has plenty of room for a small heater and electronics, especially when the front is widened out. Seat is comfortable and backrest is helpful on long days on the ice. Not too heavy to load or unload (I'm 68). I found the easiest way to load it is to empty it and then tilt it on the end of my tailgate with the seat up. Then I just lift on the seat and tilt it into the truck bed. Pulls easily on packed snow or ice but pulls harder on fresh snow, especially with heater, auger, electronics and pail. I ran the pull rope through a length of garden hose. Easier on the hands. The skirt spreads flat on bare ice so little wind gets in. The heavier quilting keeps it from flapping too much on windy days. The only slight negative I have is the rings that hold the front skirt to the frame. They pulled apart after a few times so I replaced them with hinged steel shower curtain rings. All in all, worth the money.

This is a great little ice shelter
This is a great little ice shelter. Putting it together takes a few hours. Hardest thing is snap-on strip around the back of the sled to hold fabric to sled. If you tighten material too much, front end will lift off ice. Just leave some slack. I've used it two times and both times were either 5-10 degrees. You will not have a problem staying warm. Have to shut heater off regularly even in low temps! Also, the seat is very comfortable to spend hours on. The wide front end gives you plenty of room for your sonar, heater and other things. I'm older and have bad circulation, so this allows me to continue one of my favorite sports! I think the shelter is very good quality for the price.

Nice shelter, missing some bolts for assembly.
Nice shelter, seems like a quality piece. I would love to give it 5 stars except that there were missing bolts that required me to make a special trip to the local hardware store to acquire. These bolts were referenced in the assembly instructions but were not included with the unit or on the parts inventory list. Also, the instructions seem like they were written without the author ever trying to assemble this. I called customer service and registered my complaint. Took about three hours to assemble (not counting the hour to get the missing bolts).

Worth buying
Time consuming putting together and not the most comfortable option for ice fishing. But is rather easy to transport (assuming you have truck/SUV/snowmobile/ATV...), warm and an overall pretty nice shack, where the materials don't feel cheap.
