Hisonic Professional 8" Amplified Powered 2-Way PA Speaker, 80 Watts, HS687

I use it for band rehearsal as part of my vocal P.A. and it works fine. I was skeptical of both the price and the fact they market hisonic stuff as Kereoke gear. I had shopped the music stores for powered monitors and the closest thing I found to the Hisonic was a Beringer at 300 bucks, which is nothing to say of the Yamaha and Mackie stuff at around $700. All I can say is for 125 bucks this baby is great! does'nt sound particularly good but if you're tight $ this baby is a godsend.

I bought these to use them for Karaoke with the guys. Just wanted some self power speakers for a small area. The speaker boxes look great. I was exited to fell how heavy they were. Hooked them up to my mixer and, no-matter what I did, one speaker was louder than the other. I thought, "no big deal". So I played normal music at low volumes for about 20 minutes. Then I started to smell burning and the louder speaker cut-out and started humming. I went to turn it off and felt how hot the heat sink/amplifier was. It was super hot.So, I continue playing the speaker that still worked for another 10 minutes. It just stopped working. Then I went to unplug the power wire from one of them and the power cord receiver on the pack of the speaker came loose. Had to pay 100 bucks to ship it back. Did not last for 20 minutes in a 70 degree room. And, yes I know what I am doing. Good luck with these.

Ordered the unit but when it arrived it was DOA. Called to return it and was told they would ship me out a new one right away. Called after 2 weeks and instead of sending a new one was told they would repair it but had not even looked at it yet. Finally got it back 3 weeks later and besides that it cost me $22.50 to ship it back to them. I'd never do business with them again.

I have 35+ years running live audio. A few years ago, I started using 2 of these for my live audio stage monitors. They have worked great with absolutely no complaints. They do not throw a lot of bass nor high end, which is exactly what I need for stage sound, ( Less problems with feedback that way ) but they project the vocals nice and clean and that gives me a good stage sound. We get enough bottom from the subs out front.Recently purchased a 3rd and have been 100% happy with that also.

Received it on time in great condition. Works well with my hands free microphone. Has more room for other inputs.

I ordered a total of three of these speakers (one in a package deal with wireless mics and a stand) and one speaker by itself. One of the first two worked for about 15 minutes before emitting a loud, humming, base noise and then began to smell hot and as it were burning, I could feel the heat coming off the speaker and through the vent. So, I returned that one and by the time the replacement arrived, the original speaker followed suite with the first one and burned up. I have returned all Hisonic products that I purchased and will never by them again.
