This shower chair has been amazing to keep my disabled husband safe! We can transfer from the commode to this chair, then I can roll him into the shower with ease and he's a big man at 6 ' 2". With the foot area free from a step, we can easily maneuver his legs and feet. The shower chair is lightweight but strong and because of the PVC material it is very easy to keep clean. Hard water spots do not show on PVC like you see on most metal based chairs. The large wheels with locking mechanism, make it easy to move around. We don't use the backing due to space in our shower but it is a nice design. I put a cap on the top to keep it waterproof. We have had this product for two years and love it. I would highly recommend it.
