Such a HUGE disappointment!
I bought and installed these shocks on my wife's Silverado 2500 HD Classic on April 24th, 2021. This past week, she sheered the lower control arm ball joint on the front passenger side. Why? BAD SHOCK!. When I tore apart the suspension, I was shock(ed) to discover that the shock was no longer rebounding. A one-off maybe? Nope! Since I bought replacements in pairs (Bilstein 5100's this time!), I replaced the driver's side as well and lo' and behold... dead as a door nail. Monroe has always seemed to equate with quality, but I guess I'm stuck in the 80's. This last pair lasted for just over 1 year. Sad. Disappointed. Just as a note, despite being a 2500 HD, my wife drives fairly little and the heaviest thing she hauls with the truck are cakes, so no defense there. Sorry, pass on these and get a set of Bilsteins.
