A dedicated 20 amp line is required . Running this above 80% on a 15 amp line violates most electrical codes

Can you turn the heat on and off?

Yes there are several heat settings

Does it have a fan? How much noise does it make?

When you have the heater running, there is of course a fan to blow the heat out but the noise from it is very minimum. I don't even notice it half the time.

Are the buttons on the front noticeable or are they only noticeable when they are being pushed

The power button is the only one that stays on, the others only turn on when used or when the remote is used. They turn off approximately 15 second after the last button is pressed
