Q: can this be used for perfume? Is the product its denatured with have an odor or warp the smell? Thank you

Not recommended for perfume or personal care products. Does have a strong odor.

https://www.qualitychemical.com/shared/images/MSDS/ASH-460.pdf unclear based upon msds from Quality Chemical but Ethanol SDA 40B 190 (CAS 64-17-5) listed at two other manufacturers (Sasol and Sigma Aldrich) list it as containing 2-propanol, 2-methyl (CAS 75-65-0) or tert-Butyl alcohol Sigma Aldrich further lists denatonium Benzoate (CAS 3734-33-6) as a bitterant. I detected no "camphor" odor of tert-Butyl, but perhaps below sensory threshold. Seems reasonable to conclude that Sigma Aldrich has the correct info. One of the reasons I purchased it was low toxicity for wood finishing. Superb choice for me.

Q: can i mix this with water to make a disinfectant?

Yes, if you mix 800ml of alcohol with 200ml of water in a spray bottle or bottle, it’ll be a good disinfectant. In many science labs they mix 700ml of this with 300ml water to make a 70% solution for cleaning benches and equipment. I use it to wipe my phone case, keys, car steering wheel, door knobs, and other surfaces. It should stay in contact with the surface for at least 1-2 mins before you wipe.
