Have waited 4 weeks before posting a review. With mattresses it's too easy to love or hate in just a few days, you need time. We've been after a new mattress for a little while but the wife's too tightfisted. I did my research online and realised pocket sprung is the way to go, unfotunatley they're quite a lot more expensive than regular coil spring. Saw this for just £149 and thought it too good to be true, but 'saved for later' just in case I couldn't find it again. Spent a good month after that on every bed site there is. All the so called bargains, the sales with mattresses reduced from £1600 to just £600, the latest thing from the States available on simple payment terms, all these didn't look a patch on this on this one. The problem was, ordering a mattress online. Surely you need to at least lie on it before buying? But the mattresses in the shops that looked just the same as this one are 4 times the price. I decided to man up and to hell with what the wife would say. By the time I'd plucked up the courage to go back and order it had gone up in price by £20. Delivery was fine, arrived on time, driver had no problem finding us. He helped me into the house with it (oh yes it's big, not one of these 'rolled up in a box efforts, this is a real mattress) and away he went. We dragged it upstairs and flumped it on to the bedframe. First thing the moaning wife said "it's slightly bigger than the description" - yes by about 2 or 3 cm's at most! Anyway, getting to the point, bedtime. You know that feeling in deep snow when you can fall backward and there's that whumph sound? Well that's this mattress. At first you think it's soft, but that's only the very top layer. Then you realise how solid it is. Medium firm is exactly how I'd describe it. Pure luxury. I still can't work out why it's on sale so cheaply. If it had been advertised as 'reduced to £800' and you bought it, you'd be thinking you'd got the bargain of the year. Under £200?!? If you're considering a new mattress just get one ordered. It'll be the best thing you'll buy this year I guarantee it.

Sit on the bed you can feel the base of the bed! I’m a size 10/12 it’s not my weight gave it a few weeks worse sleep iv ever had!! so I’m going to see if I can get a refund?

I looked for a long time for a decently priced firm mattress, and I’d bought a separate base to save some money. This was ordered on 31st of October and arrived on the 6th of November, with a weekend in between I thought it was a quick delivery. The mattress itself was well wrapped and looked to be made of good materials. It fitted the base perfectly but I thought that the “buttoned” parts on the mattress might be a tad uncomfortable so we added a cotton rich topper which helped.I had my doubts about the memory foam in the mattress but it really does make it supremely comfortable without any extra warmth which was raised by another reviewer. I suffer from leg and foot cramps most nights resulting in disturbed sleep, but since I’ve had this I haven’t had any! I don’t want to claim that it has healing powers but I’m wondering if these cramps have been eased by the softness of the mattress. I have chronic arthritis in my knees and getting in the right position for a reasonable nights sleep has been much easier since we got this.All in all, I’m a very happy customer, and find this soft but firm mattress ideal. Great value too.UPDATEThree years on and we’re still sleeping well! Neither of us are exactly small but this mattress supports our weight and continues to please. Now if only I could find pillows as good!

Very disappointed. The picture shows a thick matress . Mine is only 4 inch thick . When you lay on it it feels like an old sprung matress and sounds like the springs are coming through.I will be looking at another one already

Nice product, great value for money, the delivery company Arrow were shocking bad. Advise caution with Amazon when Arrow is stated as delivery service provider.

This mattress is brilliant. I have had a lot of back surgery and need a firm mattress. it is firm and very comfortable and I slept for 10 hours the first night I slept on it. The mattress is heavy and quite deep, but standard sheets do fit on it. It is worth every penny. I highly recommend it.

*Update*4 years later and mattress is still a good as the day I got it! Best buy!!Took a chance on a cheaper mattress, but it paid off. Absolute bargain!! It's medium to firm, and has a lovely memory foam top for added comfort. This mattress is perfect for sleepers who wriggle around as the other sleeper can't feel them. A great nights sleep every night. Had this just over a month now and have no complaints. Delivery took 3 days, and I had great communication with the delivery company, as the seller updates you wirh their contact details, the driver called me the morning of delivery and gave me an hours window he would arrive.

In general the mattress looks good, it is soft to the touch and really thick. Unfortunately, the quality disappointed me a bit. Of course, I did not expect to get a mattress like from a high street store for this price but any way when you reading description you expecting you'll get product close to it.. In the description it was stated that it has a reinforced edge, but probably not enough for me. I weigh 80 kg and when I sit on the edge the mattress completely flattens. The memory foam is also not very flexible and does not adjust to the body as it should. I also have doubts whether there are actually 3000 springs in it, and this was the main reason that prevailed that I bought this mattress. on a scale of 1-5 satisfaction with the purchase - 3. I have this mattress a little over a month, so I do not know how my opinion will change during use.
