I just got another new to me BMW recently. The car happened to be parked on a slanted driveway, the wind kept causing the hood to forcibly close on me. These replacement struts fit my car nicely and they are working as described. They are two pieces, first one was very easy to snap in but for some reason, I had hard time putting the second one in. It was not lining up correctly and I had to press it very hard. Nevertheless, they are working and hopefully, they can last longer than what I had.
