Bought the knife to specifically to cut sour dough loaves. The blades do cut, though if the loaf is crispy they struggle to penetrate the outer crust. By the time the single loaf is sliced the knife is uncomfortable to hold as it has become very hot. Even pausing for a few minutes in the middle of the task makes little difference. The task of slicing a loaf takes about 3-4 mins so not an extended task. I have only had the knife for a month and suspect due to the heat it generates it may not last. Would I buy it again? Probably not, but investigate a knife with a more powerful motor.

Just replaced our old one about 15 years old my wife loves it. A bonus you get a spare set of blades, they do get blunt over time

Was very good cut my gammon joint up lovely & not to load i was so impressed I brought my daughter one for christmas

This is a life saver if you have arthritis but the only draw back is it gets very hot after a short time off running so you have to keep stopping and let it cool down
