More Features & Better Image Quality Than Most Others
The media could not be loaded. This Bike Camera has more versatility than most others. While riding, you can choose to...-----(A)-- VIEW your surroundings and just use the monitor like a rear-view mirror...--or (B)-- you can RECORD VIDEO to your micro SD card (You supply the card) as you ride...--or (C)-- you can RECORD SNAPSHOTS of STILL PHOTOS at regular intervals to that same SD Card!INSTALLATION:Very easy. The clamp for the camera and the mounting clamp for the monitor are both extremely easy & secure.(They even provide some really slim, flat low profile velcro bands for securing the cable.)The setup menu is quick and fairly intuitive. It has all the usual settings & adjustments for recording quality, brightness, contrast etc. but lots of other options as well. One of these options is the ability to break up your recordings into individual loops of 1 to 5 minutes (adjustable.)This makes it MUCH easier to search, copy, transfer & edit videos. For theft protection, you can easily remove the monitor in about 10 seconds or less.OPERATION:The two buttons POWER/MODE & RECORD/STOP most frequently used are easy to reach at the top and bottom of the monitor's backside. The clarity is excellent in day or night mode. The auto-timeout feature (adjustable) can turn off the unit when not in use , thus saving your battery charge. It does a great job of stabilizing the video even with all the vibration as your bike travels over rough surfaces etc.You can even plug in a portable power bank and charge the unit while using it.I live in an area with lots of scenic riding loops, so I also tested it with the camera attached to the front frame of the bike to use it as a Go-Pro device and record some special rides --this worked great too! (Easy to transfer and edit later as a standard .mp4 file

Safety and peace of mind
Great safety upgrade for road cycling. The image is very clear day or night. At night the screen isn't obtrusive as it darkens to match the darkness of the road - until a car approaches. Orientation is correct as well, with natural left and right in the display. The pictures were all taken at the same time, just before full dark. The level of darkness can be seen in the picture down the empty road, shown in the direction the camera was pointed. The camera is very light sensitive which is evident by the screen's clear bright display, even in low light.Clarity is excellent too. The resolution is enough to see the flashing rear light against street signs 2~3 house lengths behind the bike. Stability is 100% unlike a bar mounted mirror. It can also be checked in a quick glance, unlike tiny helmet mounted mirrors which take concentration away from the road to focus and orient.Installation and setup is easy and fairly intuitive. No tools required to tighten the mounts on the seat post and handlebars. Each unit has a ball mount for precise adjustment. Menu setup on the display uses similar controls to any TV - up/down/ok within the menus. The ability to record video in a loop is a real bonus. For the same reason I have dash cam in both our cars, this is a good idea on a bike for the same reasons. I just hope not to have to use that feature!Recommended accessory for safety.

Works good
The recording quality is not the best, but it is ok. I don't really trust it in rainy conditions and believe either should anyone else. It is not really much good at night due to light glare from head lights and low lighting conditions, but you will be able to see the glaring lights if a vehicle is coming up behind you.

Rugged hardware, excellent display, easy installation.
Recommend following the instructions, and charge the unit as is recommended. There is a small LED near the charge port which will flash red as the battery is charged. After which I found an unused SD card, which the unit had no difficulty in formatting.Button controls on the back of the unit: Since the buttons are raised it is not difficult to identify and select one by touch. Possible even when wearing gloves. The menu options on the monitor utilize the same button controls. The battery life is rated at or four hours. Which was surpassed during the testing of the unit. Had expected the intermittent use of the recording option would limit the battery life, but that appears not to be an issue. Additionally, the unit can be recharged on the bike through a power pack or a solar panel. A number of those with whom I ride carry portable solar chargers -- specifically for charging electronic devices.Apologies for the quality of the images. The pictures I took on the trail were not great quality, but wanted to include several of the unit when it was in operation. Unfortunately, attempts to download a video were unsuccessful, for which I blame the internet service provider (this has happened before). However, this is a very nice option if you want to make a video record. A feature which is described in detail the instructions manual. In allowing others to install and review the unit I received a number of comments about the ease of installation -- no tools necessary. Additional remarks about the lack of image vibration ("shaking"), and the camera's extended field of vision. Evidently a restricted degree of display is not uncommon in other units.Caught in an unexpected downpour, one which soaked all of us on the ride, although the rain did not interfere with the operation of the bike monitor/camera.The included longer camera mounting bolt was appreciated as it allowed the camera to be installed on a custom made bicycle with a large diameter seat post. The only complaint, the display going off/on, was corrected by properly seating the plug between camera an monitor. The only contact which is necessary. contact
