This is very effective mixed with baking soda to relieve the reactions caused by occasionally accidentally coming in contact with foods or chemicals that I am sensitive to. Alka-seltzer used to make a "gold" version with those ingredients. It was very effective, but they don't make it anymore, so now I just mix my own. This Stuff is amazing and came fast. It's very pure. It's so nice to have this instead of wasting your time on vitamins full of fillers and unknown substances. Potassium carbonate can be used for sodium-free baking. It can also be used to reduce pH in drinks that are too tart (but use sparingly because if also affects taste. I've used it for both purposes, and at the time I bought this it was the best non-bulk price I found.

This product originates in China - and it tastes very bitter compared to the US origin product I purchased. I use Potassium Bicarbonate daily to manage acid reflux symptoms so taste is an issue. Buy 'Prescribed for Life' brand here on Amazon instead. I was shocked at how much better the US brand tasted. While it's not 'yummy' by any stretch it is much more a neutral taste so you won't gag on it.
