Works great. I'll buy more.
Great price for a large enterprise class hard drive. I have bought 3 of these this year and they have all been reliable. I use them as backup drives that I swap between. They do have some high mileage if you're buying a renewed drive. They had 34,000 to 54,000 hours of use before I bought them. Enterprise drives used in servers can get a lot of constant use. In comparison, I have a drive I bought as new 8 years ago for my Mac and it has less than 4,000 hours of use. I wish that the seller would advertise the mileage on these drives but they probably have a large pallet of them that they pick from.

Works Great, Came with about 44206hrs
I know these are discontinued data center drives. but 79.99 for a 10TB NAS hdd? I'll take it! Running Synology NAS 1813+ works great. I have a SHR RAID array setup so if one fails no worries. I intend to replace all drives with the discontinued data center drives, can't beat the price. Came with 44206 hours on drive, 0 Reconnect and 0 re-ident. Running a backed up plex server so failure isnt a worry for me as long as 2 don't fail in the same 2 days. The only complaint I would have is this is the 2nd I ordered. The first one was stolen or lost. The driver did not put the delivery in our secured lockers. its MIA but Amazon did refund the money. This seconddelivery was a success as the driver DID follow instructions and put the stuff in the locked locker.

Low cost practical storage
I had been in the market for large non-critical file storage. I had read favorable reviews from other HGST Ultrastar drives, and for $79, why not for 10 TB?The drive arrived the next day, and was well packaged. It installed fine, and Windows recognized it immediately and formatting was painless.I ran Crystal Disk Info on the drive, and as stated in the description, the drive time was just under five years, with just 39 reboots during that time. Cristal Disk Info shows the drive to be in good health with no bad sectors. Plus, there's a five year warranty on the product. For the price point and storage capacity, this is a good deal if you're looking for non-critical storage.

10TB HGST drive passed a full test and is performing as expected. I'm happy with the purchase.
This is for a used HGST 10TB SATA drive. This is my first used HGST datacenter drive. These are 5yo, high quality drives. I read all I could find. There are a small percent of failures but they tend to happen shortly after purchase. It is recommended the buyer perform a full drive check (mine took ~1day) before putting them into use. If they pass that a full test they tend to perform over the long run.My drive had the expected ~40k hours of use. I installed it in a 1-disk NAS and copied 5TB of data over 1GB Ethernet. Throughput was 800Mb-1Gb, about the limit of the network. Throughput was consistent over the hours required. Noise and heat were acceptable.I wouldn't install used drives at a customer's location but for my own use as a 2nd backup, I'm happy with it.

Died after 1 week
This drive died after one week. It seems pointless to buy this drive. I was hoping to get more life out of it than that.**Update*** The drive did not die. The cheap power cable adapter that this drive needs to function died. I put a small piece of tape over pin 3 (third from the l-shape). And it fired right up. Put a piece of tape over pin 3 and throw that fire hazard cable in the trash. The drive still gets one star because this is not something a consumer should have to go through to get a product to work as advertised.

Seems fine; past 5 year expected life
I bought four of these to upgrade my network-attached storage (NA) device (from four 4TB drives to four 10TB drives). The price is incredible, but I was a bit skeptical. Before I put them in, I connected them to my desktop to check them out. I see why they were pulled from some data center somewhere - they have more than 5 years of being powered on (see photo). The first one I checked had 44,212 hours (5 years is 43,000 hours). So, they were likely pulled after they crossed the 43,000 hours threshold. All the other SMART indicators suggest that the drive is fine. I need to check the other drives but will update if there are problems.

So far so good
I just got these today, after 2 of my WD red 4 tb drives died in my NAS, they were less then 2 years old. I had a warranty for each drive which saved me some headaches. I was looking around, and saw these, and figured why not give it a shot. I'm not using the nas for anything to crazy, just streaming, some minor file backups, etc. I have everything backed up already on two other separate drives. The cable that came with it, seems to work, but was kind of wonky with the second drive. I took the cable off, and the drive booted up fine. Each one is showing "good" in crystaldisk info, as others have shown below, right at the 5 year mark for usage. They do spin pretty rough, but feel so beefy compared to standard Consumer NAS drives. The noise level isn't to bad, but are louder then my other drives. I ran them through a few tests and seem to be functioning fine, no errors, etc. I'm going to add them to my NAS later, I'll update if I have any issues. The delivery was pretty quick, packaging could have been better. They were packed tight in two smaller boxes, but amazon put them in another box, which had some open space for them to move around in, a little bit of bubble wrap or packaging filler would have helped, just glad the drives are working.

A great drive for the money
I've always bought new hard drives for my computers, but right now the cost of anything above 8 TB is beyond my budget. At about $8/TB, this drive appeared to be a great deal. I gave it a try because it's low-risk for me (game files only) and after a month of use, I have no complaints. The performance is as advertised (I attached images of the error and performance test results). The drive had about 44,000 hours (5 years) of on-time, but that's well within the MTBF for the drive and it comes with a 5-year warranty.
