Whats the best hight to place this camer i was thinking of just near the bottom of an upstairs window

I put mine just under the gutter of my conservatory roof about 2 m high and it’s just perfect there.

Hi, "in theory" you do not have have to pay for Cloud storage as you can use a memory card to record all activity. Ezviz purposely do not facilitate "Spooling" of the memory card, so you have to take it out when you think it might be full and re format the memory card. In practice if you do not subscribe to Cloud storage virtually all the clever features that enticed you to buy one, disappear, thus rendering the device a complete disappointment !! I was then virtually forced into paying for the £50/year for the 7 day max storage, one camera, in order to use the features that I thought I was buying with the camera. In short, its a clever marketing scam. If EZVIZ told you in the first place that, " subscription is not obligatory, but if you choose not to subscribe, then they will remove most of the features" then their sales would be vastly reduced. They also give you a free trial period of Cloud play to get you hooked on the features, then when they turn it off, you are very unhappy with what you have purchased and are forced into subscribing. Cleaver Scam!!

Cloud no subscription can you use any cloud ie, Google, Bt ?

No I tried using one drive. There is a subscription service or you can use an SD card and will do the recording as cloud service would.

You don't need a subscription, but I would recommend the memory card. I've set up my on my phone & also connected to my PC (wirelessly). To be honest, I wasn't expecting much ,because of the cheap price, but its really worth the money. I keep mine in ultra HD & the image is very clear. Its as good as some of the most expensive ones & there are several setting you can choose from. ie only pick ups people or cars or animals or all of them.about12 preset setting,so you can move to an area quickly ect .Overal, you wont be disappointed. I bought the cw8 pro 3K.
