This thing is INCREDIBLE. Just $16 and my controller pretty much never dies.My original controller battery had gotten to where it barely held a charge for an hour. I just played with it plugged in most of the time. I considered buying a new one, but they're so expensive and I figured the same thing would happen, so I looked into replacement batteries and found this one.I was kind of worried about installing it. I'm not super techy and I worried I'd break some tiny thing and the controller would never be the same. But I figured it was worth trying, for the price.Taking the controller apart was a bit scary at a few points. Especially around the shoulder buttons, there were a few times when I had to pry pretty forcefully and was really worried the plastic shell would break. (Also if I remember right, some controller models have slightly different construction around the shoulder buttons so the first tutorial I used didn't quite match mine about where the little release tabs were and stuff.) I definitely recommend reading other reviews and also checking a few tutorials and videos before starting.But it really wasn't too hard overall. The included pry tool and screwdriver worked perfectly (the screwdriver even had a nice magnetic tip and rotating end). I think I had to use tweezers at one point for connecting the tiny battery wires. The replacement battery is actually smaller than the factory one, but mine came with an adhesive pad to hold it in place I see where other people in reviews mentioned using tape, so it seems like at some point the company listened to customer feedback and started including the adhesive, which is awesome.Anyway, the installation was a little scary but not actually hard. Afterward, my controller didn't power on right away, which worried me, but it came on fine after being plugged in for a few minutes and worked fine.And now....holy cow! This thing lasts FOREVER. I can play literally all day and it's still going strong. I've never actually measured the total time, but I'm guessing at least 12 hours, maybe more. I don't know how long it takes to fully charge as I just plug it in at night, but some nights I forget and I can still play for hours the next day.I installed this in December and it's now late April so it's a little under 6 months but so far I cannot recommend this enough. I haven't noticed any reduction in the battery life so far and it's just SO nice to pretty much never see low battery warnings anymore or have to even think about battery life.To be so affordable and actually smaller than the original, sure seems like Sony could have done better than the crappy one they used!

Bought this battery for the first time back in 2023. It’s now 2025. I have been alternating between two different controllers since then - so I cannot really say how many hours I put in on this. What I know is that it lasted a very long time (when it came to playtime on a charge) up until recently. I have been using this controller a lot lately since I misplaced my other controller. Overall, the battery is/was great and did what it was expected to do. The first time I received this it didn’t come with any tools, but at least I had what was needed in my collection. Once I’ve used the other battery and the next battery for a while I’ll do another review.

This replacement battery works great! The Youtube video instructionals make this switch go very smoothly. I would buy again (and will for my other controller.

This battery replaces the original Dualsense that only lasted about an hour after just 1.5 years of use (shame on Sony for using utter garbage batteries in their controllers!!!) The tools were awesome, fit perfect and worked flawless, even the screwdriver had the swivel top for easier use. The battery is exactly as pictured in the description but physically smaller than the original. However that did not do anything to increase or create a rattle, it fits very well and solid and all the wires were properly ordered in the connector. I cannot speak on any longevity yet, but my first run was very very good. The battery was fully charged upon arrival and I used it for 5.5 hours afterwards with it only showing one bar drop in the Playstation controller menu. Recharging time afterwards was on par with the standard battery and went without hitch. For anybody that can follow a simple YouTube video and knows how to do light disassembly without destroying objects :) this is a must have, a very well put together kit!

it works well, the og battery was dying very fast and this one seemed to last longer its hard to tell but i went from charging every play session to only charging like every other play session so theres that

This was a great fix. My controller after 3 years wouldn’t hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. This battery has doubled the stock battery capacity.

Installation was fairly straightforward and the tools provided were adequate. The battery is smaller than the original PS5 battery and the power leads were slightly longer but could be made to fit by bending the leads similarly to the oem install.Battery does not fully charge up after being plugged in to PS5 unit overnight for 12 hours. Disappointed and the “troubleshooting” options doesn’t cover this issue.One would expect to see all three charging blocks on their PS5 accessory view ( pic attached) for the dual sense wireless controller but it only shows two.I’d rate the quality of the battery as sub par as it isn’t a 1:1 replacement since it can’t fully charge. The fit is ok, but I wasn’t crazy about needing to use an adhesive to mount the battery in the tray. The tool kit could have come with a spare pick as it was difficult to work with just one.Overall disappointed as this did not live up to its claims. It won’t fully charge.

I had to order a new battery since I messed up the wiring of the original one while I was trying to replace one of the potentiometers. It works just fine and the battery lasts pretty long too. Good deal for the price. Just know that the battery is a bit smaller from the original battery but it fits in fine. Super easy to install
