Perfect for tomatoes!
Yes, these are thin. No, they won't stand on their own. They are not standard pots. I needed them to pot up some tomatoes that had gotten leggy and out of control. These pots worked perfect. I potted up 50 San Marzano tomatoes. I was able to bury them deep in these pots without wasting a ton of soil. I ended up with tomatoes that were 3 feet tall with super strong roots when I put them in the ground! In order to stand them up I packed them in boxes. They don't stand well on their own, so you need to keep them in something. Doing that, they work well.

Horrible, just horrible. They can't even stand up
I was expecting pots. You know, the kind that you put dirt in and stand up. Nope, not these. As you can see from my photos, they are made from what appears to be super thin rubber rolled or pressed somehow into a square, temporarily that is. Once you take one out of the stack, it loses all shape and form. If you manage to get dirt in them, they expand bigger and bigger and bigger because the material is so stretchy. I ended up adding over a gallon of dirt to one and it looked like an overinflated water balloon and couldn't stand. The bottom is not formed and has no way to stay up. The other big issue is that they have a overwhelming chemical smell. I am an organic gardener, and while I don't know what material it is made from that is causing the smell - It smells like burning rubber and smoke combined. The smell transferred to my hands just from handling them. No way will I pot up plants that I intend to eat food from.

Good depth for bare root tree seedlings
These were the right size and right price for my application. I used them to pot up bare root seedlings (Dogwood, Bald Cyprus, Kentucky Coffee tree, and a few oaks) that were too tall for standard 1 and 2 gallon pots. No, they won't stand up on their own, they are tall and skinny, so you'll need to support them somehow. The first few were difficult to separate out of the stack, but leaving them in the sun helps. They worked so well, I'm ordering more.

Adequate and nit expensive
These are not rigid, but the plastic seems strong, and I believe it would take considerable effort to tear one of these. They came very tightly packed in one column and I found the first dozen or so quite difficult to separate from the stack. But the rest separated easily, and this was only an annoyance, no harm was done. I'm sure there are better quality pots available, but these will serve my purpose quite well for much less money (sale price) than some that I know to be very good quality,

They are super thin but work
They are tall. Allowed me to start bigger plants inside earlier than normal. They do stink for a little bit though. Good for nursery size, not for long term use.

Flimsey but still useful.
Well packaged, fast shipper, very flimsey, but I think they are still good enough for starting tree seeds in, as long as I keep them in a cardboard box to hold them upright and cut box down so they get full sun.Bought because the price was right. Got what I paid for.

Ideal for seedlings
These were very easy to use for my bare root seedlings that I couldn't plant immediately. They do have a noticeable smell when you first open them but goes away in a day or two. Overall very happy with them and will be purchasing again if I need to, but they are reusable.
