The foam is non adhesive as some similar foam wound protectors are BUT if you want adhesive they provide an adhesive patch you can place over the foam and will adhere to the foam and edges of the wound area. I have both types of foam wound protection applications. I prefer my own choice of adhesive (for sensitive skin) to secure the foam to the wound. Do pay attention that these are smaller than other patches (2" x 2.8") and there are only three to a pack.

These adhered well, very absorbent and provided superb protection. They’re great for sores + blistering wounds with discharge and work a thousand times better than bandaids. They stick and stay on skin and they come off easy

I don't know anyone that LIKES to buy dressings, but if you need them or believe you may need them (for an IFAK or similar) these are worth checking out.MEDIFOAM - Hydrophilic Foam Dressing, Non-Adhesive (Non-Woven Fabrics for Fixation are Enclosed), Foam Dressing for High exudate Wounds, 2in x 2.8in (3sheets) are foam bandages that can cover and pad a large amount of damaged tissue (burns/cuts/rashes/scrapes,/etc.) They appear to be made of a medical grade silicone foam. Unlike many traditional bandages they do not self-adhere so you would need to use the included bandage cover or something similar such as an ace style bandage. The foam is soft and thick so it cushions the wound nicely and doesn't stick when removed. The dressings are individually wrapped at 3 in a box but you can cut to desired size.This has already been added to my IFAK but will be used more for comfort than emergency situations.

While I haven't had the opportunity yet to try these out (thankfully), the packaging and contents match exactly as advertised. I will save these for a burn or large brush burn to help cover and keep such an open wound safe.I like the absorption layer to help draw away moisture from a wound to help keep it dry and clean. This comes at a reasonable price when the situation calls for more than just a gauze pad.

This was much smaller than I anticipated. Hopefully I never need to use it. Put it up with our first aid kit.

It took me a while to review this item. Unfortunately, I have melanoma skin cancer which rears its ugly head every now and again. When I get one, my dermatologist needs to remove it. After that process, I always have stitches. I just had one removed, and I used this dressing after I had to remove the doctor's dressing. It worked very well. It provided an extra layer of foam protection on the incision. This is great because I have a big, crazy dog who often bumps into me. The adhesive part stuck very well.
