How much does it weigh?

I have fixed mine to a wall so I can not weigh it. It is very light I would guess less than 8 ounces . The keys weigh more than the box. .

Does this cancel to 000 (or similar) when opened? To avoid others seeing the code if I forget to close.

No. It's not a electronic digital display but simply a mechanical operation with dials. The number stays the same until you manually move the dials
