GUM Classic Soft Toothbrush, Includes Rubber Tip Dental Pick 1ct (Pack of 12)

I love these basic toothbrushes! My dentist gave these out after cleanings. I'm not a fan of the suggested soft toothbrushes. These are a medium bristle, and they are perfect. It is very hard to find these firmer brushes, but I feel they do a much better job of cleaning my teeth. And they last longer. They are just straight forward toothbrushes. The only thing is that the handles are short. Almost kid size but not labeled that way.

I was surprised to find this toothbrush is made in the USA, unlike other GUM toothbrushes (505 and 525 - see pictures), which are made in China. This toothbrush has a smooth gloss handle compared to others with rubber grips, therefore difficult to grip with wet hands, a minor downside of this toothbrush. It is shorter than others so ergonomics are very different and it takes some time to get used to it. The bristle of this toothbrush feels a little stiffer than other GUM toothbrushes, despite all of them being labeled soft and compact. The brush portion is very basic with rectangular alignment and flat top - see picture for the details. The rubber tip is useful for front teeth, but not the back ones due to the bulkiness of the handle - I have a dedicated rubber tip with a thin handle (GUM stimulator) for that. This is my first impression of this toothbrush so I will update the review as I use more. Hopefully, this basic toothbrush will outperform and last longer than more fancier (expensive) ones from the same company.Note: I purchased the toothbrushes from Amazon and not from third party sellers, which may be why some buyers received wrong products. Also, the rubber tip prevents the holding hand from sliding down, a useful feature in addition to between teeth cleaning.

This toothbrush is awesome. It has a little pick on the end that is great for cleaning your gums. The bristles are soft and won't hurt your gums, but hard enough to do the job. I change toothbrushes every couple of months, and I find these to be the best for me. Comes in a variety of colors and they are very study. The size of the bristles are a little over an inch and the toothpaste fits on top without falling off. I highly recommend these brushes if you have a tender mouth and need extra cleaning.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Nice toothbrush. Soft bristles. You'll mainly buy this for the rubber pick at the end of it. That is handy for a flossing substitute. But know that this toothbrush is not as long as most current toothbrushes. This measure is 6 1/4 inches. Most toothbrushes nowadays are over 7 inches. So this is a little small for an adult hand. But you're buying it for the rubber pick at the end of the toothbrush. The Bristol are soft.

I've been using Butler tooth brushes for 55 years. I started b4 I got braces as an adult at 24 y/o. The dentist told me I would need gum surgery when my braces came off because my teeth were so crowded and my gums were in sad shape. Butler brushes saved the day and now at 79 y/o I don't need gum surgery. And I owe it all to Butler's unique design. I have used the 409, 410 & 411 sizes but they all have the came effective design it's the size that is different, 409-smallest, 411-largest and 410 my favorite. Regular retailers do not carry them.

I searched for Gum 411 and this item came up. Nowhere in the description did it say this is the 409 child's toothbrush. It was not until months later when I needed one did I discover the switch. Only on a close examination of the photos can you see that this is Gum 409. Disappointed! I will continue to search for the 411 that works so well for me. This is not it.

There are all kinds of newfangled toothbrush handle designs on the market, but this basic design is still my favorite. Bristle head is a bit longer than competing brands, and I like the straight handle and wide handgrip that makes the brush easy to control, especially with fingers moist with the soap-like foam that toothbrushing generates.

It says SOFT, but it is not soft. It is short for adults and harsh for kids.
