Interesting detailed display piece
Cool conversation peace. I ordered clear acrylic plastic stands and have this displayed on the shelf the lead separate from the compass and also the little leather piece that goes in it’s great for A tiny self interest.

Compass doesn't work.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. It's a nice little gift for the price, and the workmanship is acceptable, but be forewarned: the compass needle is a flimsy piece of metal that is not magnetized and rests on a peg. It does not move.

Looks great, functions not so great.
This is definitely a nice looking compass. The case is chintsy but the compass itself is great. However, the needle is extremely wobbly, it takes forever to orient (despite what the article says). It is by far, the slowest orienting needle I've had of all my compasses. Definitely not great for actual use.

Lovely little gift
A beautiful and unusual little gift, attractively presented in a little round case. I ordered it for someone else as a present, but I might just keep it for myself!

Not functional but okay as an aesthetics gift
Does not look as good as in picture shown. Also not accurate at all so cannot function as a compass.Disappointed with purchase, but probably cannot expect much at 13-14pounds. would have hoped that it would at least be functioning.
