Dot Sight
It works quite well. I’ve tried it in varying lighting conditions and it’s always visible. Seems well made.

PRICEY BUT!
Best made in the world use it on my compact carry Canik and bought Canik MO1 for my full size Canik I use in competition / BOTH CANIK SIGHT AND SHIELD SIGHT ARE COMPARABLE QUALITY / for my “carry piece” I like the Shield’s auto brightness feature which is great in all ambient light levels so I ask you; WHAT’S YOUR LIFE WORTH? I’ll pay three times as much for a SHIELD’S REPUTATION but I’ve never had a problem with my “CANIK” built MO1

Missing parts
Read lots of reviews before I bought this shield RMSc red dot. Most good. Right out of the box it didn’t work. Lower side of optic was missing the battery receptacle contacts and cover. Hence dropping the battery it was not able to power up the sight. Pretty bad and this was an expensive red dot. Sent it right back.

Rain6 was a great help!
I returned this red dot because I could not get it to fit my new Hellcat Pro OSP. I reached out to Jimi at Rain6 and he explained how to mount the sight. It is a very tight fit and requires some “minor” filing of the posts on the firearm to mount the sight. I cautiously followed Jimi’s instructions and was very pleased. Now I am very happy to have the RMSc mounted on my new Hellcat Pro. If you look at SA new offering of the Hellcat it has the SMSc mounted. The aluminum body of the RMSc makes it a tighter fit. Thanks to Jimi at Rain6!!!!!

Best Red Dot
I have been using these red dots for 20 years on tactical rifles, shotguns and pistols. This makes the 5th one.

Quality piece!
Shield products are quality. No doubt there. Overall, I really like it. Hopefully it is the same quality as the other optics I have from them. Bought this to replace the terrible Hex that came in my Springfield Armory "fishing pole".The reason for 4 stars is that there is no seal at all around the battery between the optic and mounting surface. Even the unreliable Hex had a O ring.
