Are these bowls for cats or dogs? Why does it say "cat water dish bowl"?

Well, this item can be used for both dogs and cats. I think the manufacturer just wanted to make sure pet owners of both could find this water dish.

No, the rim is a light metal so no, i don't think they are microwavable
