I needed this to connect an 8TB hard drive to my computer and it worked fine. The device is shown on my computer and I can transfer data to it without any issues. I did not need to install any drivers and the computer recognised it as a usb hard drive.

Reliable and fast. Have used with 2.5" and 3.5" disks. Haven't tried tye cloning function.

great performance and ease of use be careful when using the cloning drive feature as it works too well managed to turn my 4 Tbyte drive into a 2 Tbyte drive as I wanted to transfer the information on my old 2 Tbyte drive so decided to use the clone feature, still trying to return the 4 Tbyte drive to it's former capacity wish I had decided to just copy the one drive to the other now but apart from that it works well is great value and is really neat in appearance. doesnt seem to take up much space on the desktop and able to employ both my spare hard drives easily

I HAVE DIFFERENT TYPES BUT THIS ONE IS HEAVY AND STABLE - 2 10 TB DISKS CONNECTED TO THE TV IT SWITCHES ON AND OFF BY ITSELF. WORTH BUYINGIT'S HARD TO FIND SOMETHING BETTER LIKE THIS - SOLIDLY MADE, WON'T FALL OVER, GOOD SWITCH AND STANDBY SYSTEM. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR TV

The story starts familiarly enough to just about anyone who relies on their computer. My PC decides to die and I am forced to replace it at great expense. Then comes the lesson about not counting your chickens etc. I had seen the PC death coming and backed up all my important files to my reliable external drive and patted myself on the back for having had such foresight. You can already tell what is going to happen, can't you.Of course mid way through uploading my files to the new machine and my backup drive just stops responding. At all. Not matter what, I cannot get the computer to access anything on said drive. I am suddenly faced with losing a large amount of files which are quite important to me. I proceed to place the order.Thus enters our hero, this amazing little HDD dock. Until now, all such devices that I had seen were expensive enclosures that were of little use to me and granted, I haven't really looked for quite some time. I hate to think of all the cherished files that have been lost to PC death over the years. But now arrives this little dock and the game changes instantly. I plug everything in where they are meant to go and follow the prescribed procedure in the manual. And there they are, all my precious files still on the old HDD, ready to be liberated and moved to the new machine. So after learning to access the files through the Windows security settings, they are little by little given their new homes and the day is saved.But it doesn't stop there, with the file transferred, this old HDD is just right to take it's place as primary backup drive. So a somewhat quick format later, it takes on it's new duties without any issues. All thanks to this HDD dock which has utterly revolutionised my data storage and recovery toolbox. From now on, I will always make sure that I own such a device.
