It is a child s play vest of course it is not bullet proof. In today's world it wouldn't be a bad Idea. I will tell you my 8 year old grandson loves it. They are at our house 4 times a week and he is always putting it on as soon as he gets here. It is good quality.

Does it reduce airsoft bullet damage?

We haven't used airsoft before but I have a feeling it wouldn't be very protective. The material isn't very thick, but it's not very thin either. I would just try it and if it's not what you think, return it.
