Why does this laser flash In lock mode? when it’s level or not. It says in the manual that it will stop flashing in 30 seconds but it does not.

It wont stop as it is letting you know it is not level. I spent big money on this and then had to buy the cheapest laser on Amazon to work for any unlevel angle. IE. Staircase hand rails - Go figure.

Does this work well outdoors?

I used it outdoors but, if the outside light is too much is hard to see the beams
