Are the bottom of the feet protected with any materials so they don't scratch wood surfaces?

the feet are circular pieces of smooth rounded metal with felt-like dots on the bottom for the table surface. Even without the felt dots, which one has fallen off, its not marking my furniture in any way.

Will it hold 4.25 inch coasters?
