I ordered an $40 iron (different brand) with good reviews and by the second time I used it I hated the ceramic soleplate and digital screen. I ordered this Black & Decker stainless steel soleplate iron and love it. It glides over fabric and is light weight. I never put water in my iron and prefer a spray bottle with distilled water for removing wrinkles, so I can't review the steam features. I prefer the manual dial for the heat setting over a digital screen. This iron heats fast, irons well, is a great value for the price, and I'm very pleased with it.

Decent iron. Nice and lightweight. The stainless steel plate glides nicely over clothes. Other irons with coated plates eventually begins to snag material, plus they are harder to clean. Heats up fast and is hot enough for wrinkle removal. The steam feature is nice, but would be nicer if you could be able to add an extra push of steam from time to time. Adding water is a little tricky. It’s a little difficult to see the water filling up as you’re adding it. So, overfilling it is problematic. Plus, despite using filtered water, a small amount of crust still develops.

The steam function works effectively, providing a steady flow of steam that effortlessly removes wrinkles from various fabrics. I particularly appreciate the SmartSteam™ Technology, which automatically adjusts the steam output based on the selected temperature, ensuring optimal results for different materials. Overall, this iron offers great value for its price point.

Clearly I have held on to my old iron way too long. I am very pleased with the light weight and stainless steel surface plate. The iron heats up quickly and provides smooth results. Love it! Who knew ironing could be fun?

Good iron for the price. I dont iron much but for my cotton shorts this works great!

Good price. Not sure I’m loving it. It’s very light and a bit smaller than my last iron. The settings are difficult to regulate.
